Had procedure done about 3 years ago and so far it has been night and day for my heart burn. It has been working excellent so far and has been a real life saver. I have also been able to eat anything and I am able to sleep throughout the night without being woke up with heartburn. I highly recommend this procedure, I have not had to take any heartburn meds since the procedure.
Oh man, that gives me so much hope. I am planning to get this surgery in the next couple of months. I was just scared from all the horror stories you read about the Linx and Fundoplication on forums and facebook. This is good man. Hope you continue do to well.
This is the update I needed to hear. Thanks for sharing. My surgery consultation is less than a month away and I can’t wait. Tired of having heartburn all day every day and sleeping upright.
That's great man, thanks so much for making this video. Going for it in a couple of days and I love hearing success stories like this. I hope you're still good. Cheers!
I'm having HH repair and LINX out in in about a week. Would you mind telling me your foods after surgery? How quickly did you try "normal" foods again?
Hey Daniel, thanks for posting. Was wondering did you take PPIs before this? Would be awesome if you could post a video of your story with GERD.. how old you were when symptoms came up, how long you tried to manage before surgery, was finding a surgeon easy, insurance for it was easy? Etc. thanks
Yes, I was on PPIs. I was about 17 when my Gerd started, and I tried to manage my symptoms for about 10 years to no avail. I went to my gastro doctor who had been prescribing me the PPIs and told him I wanted to quit taking the pills and he recommended me to a surgeon that has been doing the Linx procedure for a while. My insurance covered the whole surgery because I had already met my deductible for that year. Hope that helps.
Hey man, glad to hear you're doing well! Have your breathing problems reslolved all the way? Also did you have lump in throat feeling? If so, has it gone away as well?
Hey Daniel, Im from India, I have a small sliding hiatus hernia. Im having symptoms that fluctuate between GERD and LPR. I'm trying to get this done. As the symptoms stopping me from living a normal life. Can you let me know the process in detail for the surgery and the recovery time. Many thanks! Hope this finds you well.
😮 did you lose 30 pounds? I am about to do the procedure and I am afraid to lose weight. Did you have difficulty to eat in the first month? They say I might lose 10 pounds but I think it is too much.
@@danielreeves4799 thanks for the reply. Maybe my device is too tight. I think I’m going to go in and get it stretched. They can do some kind of balloon procedure.
