2 places Liebherr falls horribly short. Hydraulics, while well designed that are painfully organized. For some reason all the engineers have yet to understand mechanical accessibility, I got so frustrated with the hydraulic mayhem trying to fix some little part buried in un-bendable hoses. The second place is the engine, it was almost good then we got a fuel pump.... Now wanting to rip that turd out and drop in a reasonable engine. Everyone else's fuel pumps, $1500 to $5000. Liebherr's Bosch basic fuel pump for a 6 cylinder $15,0000 = a joke. Everything else is generally very good with some over engineered annoyances here and there.
Its what allot of major players in the field do. Make certain things such a strain you end up having to use their services. John Deere has that same tendency.
You can buy real and fake Lego models of some of these bits of equipment. I've always been a " it's either real Lego, or no fake Lego" my entire life. But I've come to the conclusions, that Lego is REALLY expensive for a bit of ABS. When fake Lego is less than half the price and all the big models are RC n have an app and there bigger and better than anything Lego would make. Lego have REALLY shot themselves in the foot. The fake Lego is also made out of ABS and it's completely comparable as it's all like for like and will fit any existing model. Because if you want to make it RC, then it's a hell of a lot cheaper than if you buy real Lego parts. Just remember kids. Lego is just a name brand. It's also for bigger kids. And even bigger kids. And even a really, much older kid (grown adult), with a gf/wife n there own kids, who you don't want touching YOUR Lego. (That's if she's still with you that is). But having house full of it and not being able to move because you spend your entire life balls deep into Lego (instead of being balls deep into your gf/wife) and not spending it with your gf/wife trying to make her happy.
