This game is absolutely beautiful, but I think it is far from cute. In my opinion the game seems very depressing. I think the game is about coping with depression. Just the moment it started I felt sad.

The storm maybe represents panic attacks or a mental breakdown
there are actually entire theories of Gris' storyline online, and it will all be revealed with the ending. The secret ending cutscene also gives hints towards the main storyline - it is depressing, but told in such a beautiful manner; I really hope Cupquake does an analysis herself at the end of the last video :3

This game is so beautiful. I am afraid you might missed one of the things, that you need to collect, first one. Also you missed one "Rocks on the stick" thing, but its probably fine anyway. Look forward to watch other parts of your walktrough

Yes but actually no, it talks about losing someone, it talks about grief and loss and the 5 stages of loss, that are represented by the colors that you get, the ones being: gray(denial), red(anger), green(bargain), blue(depression) and yellow(acceptance).

This game is so great. I wish you could also play Flyn' I tried to recommend it to you years ago, its an old game now. But you would really like the style.
I was trying to watch this while painting, for some background noise. But I kept getting distracted by the breathtaking visuals. So this is something I'm so going to have to watch and pay full attention to
I agree this game is so pretty this game kind make me relaxed
For anyone wondering it’s the 5 stages of grief.
Monotone colour= denial
Red=anger (storms representing anger and tantrums)
Green= bargaining
Blue= depression
Yellow= acceptance
And at the end all the emotions and colours coexist
It’s also worth mentioning it took a more realistic route by having other colours still present in each stage to show how it’s not as simple as moving from one stage to the next much like real life e.g red in the bargaining stage.

what a coincidence! I also recently played Gris and I LOVED IT SO MUCHH, it's truly an amazing experience. Even though most story-based games of the same price would have 10 hours of playthrough and have dialogues and all that stuff (example: night in the woods, wandersong, two of my favorite games of ALL TIME currently for emotional games / relatable games / story based games) , GRIS is worth the price even without any piece of dialogue-ish text whatsoever. Being sold entirely on art, animation and soundtrack, it only took me 3-4 hours to beat it without looking at a guide, and I vouch it's still worth the price. You could support the developers by still buying the game yourself even after watching cupquake play it!
