I work at a local news station…our sports reporter was once completely taken out by a player while shooting sideline video at a high school football game. (It was caught on a fan’s camera and sent in to us). She had been a college gymnast and executed a full somersault, popped right back up and raised the camera above her head yelling out “Camera’s good!”

Just so you know the hit at 10:57 actually resulted in #12 lacerating his liver, so he missed a few weeks when he was the best player on the team.
The PINK SHIRT is for Cancer Awareness which every University Celebrates during the season,even baseball with PINK bats,High School,NFL with PINK gloves,shoes,socks,pom-poms for cheerleaders.
Most specifically Breast Cancer Awareness

I remember Mississippi State getting into a brawl in a bowl game once. KTO has a good video on one at Miami called The Game the NCAA Wants You to Forget. I'd watch your reaction to one of them.
Once a player steps out bounds,the play is OVER.You can't hit the player.It's a penalty weather it's a push, a soft bump,or a hard hit.The Ohio State punter was CLEARLY OUT BOUNDS.Look at his feet, both are well inside the white...PLAY OVER! One foot in the white area,play is over.It's the same rule when a QB runs and slides down,if a opposing player hits him,or falls on him,it's a late hit personal foul penalty.Not only the QB,but any player that "gives himself up" by going down,or sliding.🇱🇷 🏈
I worked at the Washington Utah game this fall and my supervisor standing next to me got hit in the balls by an overthrown Penix pass
11:40 Usually you’ll have the the coaching staff for both teams trying to pull players apart as well as players (who aren’t fighting) from both teams but are instead trying to help stop the fights by grabbing a teammate and pulling em away from the action.
The reason why the fake punt play was penalized and ejected was because the hit occurred out of bounds. You just can't hit someone who is already out of bounds, that is a rule. Sometimes it is questionable, but this was really blatant. Correct call. By the way, it does not matter what you intended to do. Sometimes players accidentally make illegal hits or are even obviously trying to avoid an illegal hit but make one anyway. You don't get a freebee for good intentions. Part of being a good defensive player is staying within this rule and protecting the opponents as the rules stipulate. It isn't always easy, but neither is a one handed catch in the back of the end zone and getting a foot (or both in the NFL) down. You have to play well if you want to have good results.

Many teams will work with charities so the pink shirts you mentioned were probably being worn for that. I didn’t really see the logo on the shirts but since they were pink it was more than likely it was breast cancer awareness

The cheerleaders often don’t watch the game. They are often facing the crowd. Not always but that’s why a lot of them end up with their backs turned to the action.
