  • One thing about me, Im gone try to do the style on myself then Im gone upload a tutorial teaching y'all how I did it. I have no clue what these are called. Ive seen them called Island Twist, Boho Twist, Goddess Twist, etc.
    I talk a lot in this video because I wanted to break it down in steps and also explain to y'all mistakes I made and what I think you should do different. I wanted to explain each step in depth for beginners. For that reason Ive broken it down into chapters if you dont want to listen to my explanations :)
    00:30 - Hair Used
    01:10 - How to part your own hair
    01:53 - How to Start your twist with a braid
    04:05 - How to Start the twist after braiding
    04:25 - Technique for Twisting
    05:17 - How to Feed In Curly Strands
    05:50 - How to Feed In Curly Strands to End of Twist
    06:22 - How To end and seal twist
    06:44 - Finished Look
    I used one pack of the Cuban Twists 3X Double Strand Style in 16"
    I got this hair from my local BSS for $15 but like I mentioned in the video I would choose different hair if I had to do it all over again.
    I ended up being two twists short after using all the hair and dust got one pack of Marley hair to finish from my local BSS
    For the curly strands, I used one bundle of Organique 24" in the texture Water Curl , I cut the strands off the weft and I still had hair left over . It was $12 for one bundle.
    I used Braid Formula Super Hold by Erin New York

    My toxic trait is thinking I can do this style in 30-45 mins when I know it’s gonna take me all day😂You made it look simple and it came out beautifully👌🏽

    You did an excellent job on your hair but next time just use regular braiding hair. Because that’s the kind of hair you use for regular Senegalese twists.

    • @AmbreRenee
      @AmbreRenee  4 місяці тому +2

      I’ve used regular braiding hair and in my opinion it doesn’t hold as well or blend as well

  • @smcb9602

    This was a good tutorial, I am going to try this myself. Can you give me some other options on the braiding hair? I know you said that the hair you used was too coarse. I have natural hair and i think using the kinky hair will blend better than prestretch hair.

      They do have different types of Marley hair. So I would just choose a brand that is softer to the touch.

    What a wonderful video. Do you have any thoughts on which human hair you would get instead if you did it again? Would you also have changed the Water Curl hair to another type of hair?

    • @AmbreRenee
      @AmbreRenee  Рік тому

      I actually really loved the water curl. So I personally would stick with that but I’ve seen them done with wavy hair as well and it looks good so it just comes down to personal preference. I haven’t worn weft hair in so long I would just have to hope for the best when choosing human hair
