Originally released by Konami in October of 1990 on the same hardware which runs other Arcade Archive alumni such as Detana!! TwinBee! (a.k.a. Bells and Whistles), Sunset Riders, and Trigon (a.k.a. Lightning Fighters). Surprise Attack is an out of this world action platform run and gun game. From the intro, we learn that an international terrorist group known as Black Dawn has taken over the 2CV6 space colony project which includes several space stations and a base on the surface of the moon. Adding the problem is that Black Dawn has planted several explosives that threaten the colonists. In response, Earth defense forces send out a lone special operative named John Ryan, who is code named Red Thunderbolt, to defuse the bombs and eliminate the terrorists once and for all. Surprise Attack consists of seven stages known as Chapters, and each one includes a varied number of acts. In these acts, John's main priority is to defuse all the bombs in each act to access the exit point. Along the way, John can obtain upgrades as he defuses the explosives such as a Grenade Disc launcher which upgrades the efficiency of his weapon. In later stages, John can obtain Mover Fuel which sends his spacesuit into overdrive which renders him temporarily invincible and grants him the ability to hover as long as there is fuel in his suit. The mover fuel is absolutely crucial in later stages which grants the unique ability for John to invert gravity at will which lets him walk on ceilings. Naturally, at the end of each chapter, John must fight a major boss in order to proceed to the next chapter. At the end of each stage, Surprise Attack provides players with a quiz bonus game where they can earn bonus points for correctly answering questions relating to both science and popular science fiction culture.
Another Konami classic. After this game, its time for Parodius Da, Gokujo Parodius, Sexy Parodius, Twinbee Yahho, Salamander 2 to arrive on Switch. And yeah, Sexy Parodius should be rated M.
Parodius Pack, would pay $60 if every single title with all variations was included and it was developed by M2 or someone equally painstakingly careful.
If its not on Capcom arcade Stadium Vol. 3 assuming we get a third Capcom Arcade Stadium volume.... Consider Street Fighter III New Generation, 2nd Impact and 3rd Strike. And maybe Undercover Cops, Ninja Baseball Batman, Asura Blade, Asura Buster, Knuckle Heads, maybe Tekken 1, Tekken 2. Not sure if Hyper Neo Geo 64 should happen for Arcade Archives.
Hamster does not handle Capcom, they don't do 3D, and Tekken would most likely be PS plus exclusive (as Tekken 2 showed). Also, Undercover Cops would not appear in the US. The other games should be fine though.
Same with Blazer (a System 1 game which some of you may have never heard of before), Dirt Fox (a System 2 game), Emeraldia, Tinkle Pit, Super World Court, Exvania and Fighter & Attacker (all five NA-1 games).
@Watashiwaa To answer your question: Nebulasray is a 1994 Namco shoot em up arcade game. The game play is simular to Raiden. Solvalou is a 1991 3D rail shooter arcade game. It is a 3D spin off of Xevious where you fly your ship in 1st person view.
It's SHINOBI ... in space!!!
Now that you mention it: yeah, you're right! That, or "Rolling Thunder."
