Impact actually got Rock to appear on Impact content.
This probably never would have happened for anyone other than Shamrock tho. Rock has a high amount of respect and gratitude towards him as like a mentor or something if I'm not mistaken.
Meanwhile, Rock couldn't appear, via satellite, on his 25th anniversary of his debut at Survivor Series last year.
I guess Rock puts his heart for Shamrock than WWE, which isn't a bad thing.

I thought in order to Induct someone in the hall of fame you had to be there with them
You have to remember during that time frame that none of the wrestling companies had any shows other than the ones with the no fans in attendance. It was not until July 2021 that the fans came back.
This happened during COVID lockdown era

@@AcornSmokes420 Not just because of Shamrock. Rock was already getting fame on his own, when he took over the Nation, stopped being Rocky Miavia (forgot how they spelled it), did the eyebrow and became The Rock.
Shamrock just helped give him more cred, but The Rock was already gaining traction. He wouldn't have even made it to Shamrock in the first place if it wasn't for his charisma and mic skill.

Ken Shamrock deserves to be inducted in most of the fight sports hall of fames out there. The Lions Den was the first real iteration of modern MMA gym culture and a focus on a diverse set of skills. Hats off to a true pioneer of sports, Ken Shamrock!

@@justinperry2432 Tito was young at the time, Shamrock had already been hit in the head too many times. Tito become the same way after his career too: Can only take so many punches to the face and keep thinking straight.
@M A Ken also picked up alot of injures during his wrestling period so when returned to the cage he had to completely change his style because his knees couldn't take it.

I was a kid watching live the rock's matches with Ken shamrock for the WWF intercontinental title in 1998! Their matches at the royal rumble 1998 and WrestleMania 14 for the intercontinental title were awesome!
If you watch a lot of The Rock's interviews, you could tell The Rock never forgot who had helped him on his way.
He acknowledged so many men that many of the industry kind of just doesn't acknowledge as much, guys like Brian Adams(Crush in WWE) and Ken Shamrock and many more players that aren't necessarily considered high profile.
It's crazy for someone his level to do that. Hat's off, Impact, and hats off to The Rock for doing this for his friend, Ken Shamrock.

The Rock vs Ken Shamrock in 1998 it's a rivalry not to many talk about, it was a VERY underrated rivalry, they put on some great matches as well, some excellent matches, King of the Ring '98 was one of those excellent matches, a match that Ken won as well

I just wish we got one "If ya smell what The Rock is cookin' " on Impact just so I could try to pull a Mandela Effect on one of my friends and convince them Flex "The Rock" Kavana was the most popular wrestler on TNA back in the day hahaha
