They didn’t nerf the slide cancel but for some reason if you had it on slide only it got changed to tap to slide in your settings, I also thought something was off first game on and realized that
they also added a 400ms delay to sprinting. it is in a new config file that they added under a "Gamerprofile0base" folder. There is a section they added for "sprint " and by default they have it set to 400ms. but you can switch it to 0. Makes it feel the way it should

I think they fixed a glitch with one of those settings so they might have made you reequip it
They reset it because they added a new behavior for sliding, it lets you dolphin dive or slide cancel with fluidity
