Finally tried this and what a punch in the nose at first sniff! Almost dropped it right in the trash but I’m so glad I didn’t. Took me till the next day before I came around.
Now I’m thoroughly enjoying it! Would not recommend a blind buy but definitely check it out!

This one on my skin lasts over 16 hours! The projection is beast mode for the first few hours but then dials in and becomes closer to ur skin but never really goes away until u wash it off.
Great compliment getter as well, once it settles down.

Picked up the Dupe at marshalls (Monarch Red Tabbaco Vanilla). This is not for everyone, as this is not mass appealing, but man do I love it.

@gerardgeorge I got it in today I really smells like a Mature Version of red tobacco I feel it's not in your face an when it drys down its has a leather note which the original don't
Have not smelled Red Tobacco yet but will soon. Until then Argos TOB is my go to tobacco fragrance. Awesome review my friend.

Grabbed this just over a week ago - love it, but actually not having the projection most people seem to get (or I'm totally nose blind). Mancera's a nice, more affordable niche house - I have Aventus from circa 2017, but will not purchase again. Cedrat Boise is def on my list. Great vid as always!
Love cedrat. Some have mentioned reformulation which is hard to believe with this scent it’s so potent.
Been reformulated at the beginning of 2022. Now it's only a beast, not a bomb.
I took your advice on Friday Edition and it just arrived today. Man you were right about it smelling like Nonnas Anise Cookies. I’m loving it bro .

Spot-on review & comment section. Being somewhat broke I’m getting my RT-like fix on the cheap these days thanks to an old bottle of “Raghba” believe it or not.
Got that cinnamon in there, a bit of smoke/ a hint of dry tobacco, some sweetness & great longevity, immediately pleasant & imminently wearable + I don’t have to wait two days for the drydown. WIN 😹

This thing is exclusively for Masculine and brave hearted people.The dry down is just amazing..For me ,it was love at first sniff. I don't find the opening annoying as others claim it to be..

Nice vid. I have been curious about this one but from the reviews I have seen it's a polarizing scent. I still might try a sample and judge for myself.

Love this one. This is one I where I count my sprays to avoid overspray. it's a very thick tobacco but nowhere near as cloying as Alhambra's Tabac (Dior Tobacolor dupe)
Shayne great point this is easy to overspray.
I hear about this stuff being really strong. Well is it as potent as let's say Joop original? Because I always spray all of my hot spots which equals to about 7 sprays usually.
Its up there for sure.
Wild and Tobacco by Paris Corner is a very close clone and is not so heavy in the opening and the dry down is very close and smells great. It would be worth a try for under $40. I actually like it better.
I have another clone as well in hand from monarch. I want to do a comparison vid.
How does monarch compare with this one as far as being a dupe it also has a pretty harsh opening it's quite loud but after about 15 minutes it's magical

I got a 5ml of red tobacco and Carlisle in a trade a few years back. They sorta smell similar, especially in the dry down, but Red Tobacco is brutally synthetic. I drained the Carlisle and still have 80% of my Red Tobacco decant left 😂
Yea Carlisle is definitely the better scent imo
If you have either A: Opened a bag of pipe tobacco and taken a whiff or B: Set foot in a tobacco store and breathed in through your nose, then you already know what Red Tobacco smells like. ❤ It's really strong though, so you have to keep sprays to a MINIMUM, and leave maybe a half hour after you spray before you walk out the door.

I am in minority , but got sample and could not wait to wash it off ! Smelled like cherry scented cigarette ashes to me , and please get sample and do not blind buy ! I am so glad I did !! To each his own , but like you have stated , certainly not for everyone !!!

The dry down with this is the key. I love this one...but it's not for everyone.
That Monarch Red Tobacco Vanilla I posted on Insta earlier, is a great cheap alternative.

Gerard, I love Mancera Red Tobacco. BTW, Milestone has a clone of the fragrance. Have you seen it in TJ Maxx or Marshalls? I bought it and it is good for $15.00.

I got my first bottle today …. In my opinion it’s overhyped and overpriced … I love the opening but when it dries down it has a normal everyday scent .. there is no identity … it’s like drinking water … of course that’s my opinion others will differ …is it a nice scent? yes …. Would I buy it again ? … I don’t think so …strong so you have to use sparingly … Nam Jamaica

This one is pretty rough on the opening. I enjoy the dry down but it's one I have to be in the mood for and don't wear often

I absolutely love this frag. One of the first niche frags i ever smelled and it blew me away. So deep and alluring.
I do agree that the first 3-4 minutes are a bit much but it just becomes better and better after that. Got a hoodie i wore last winter...i could still smell it on it at least 2 months later. No joke.

Red Tobacco…. I never have tried it. I am a bit defensive to get any Mancera soon.
I own Mystery Tobacco by Carolina Herrera, which is similar to Carlisle, even smoother based on other reviews.
That is one I’ve wanted to try for some time now. Not cheap
I think this one is good, but not as die hard for it as everyone else, I'll be curious to see how the intense version lands

RTI is not intense at all. The opening is smoother and it does not project as much because it’s an extrait de parfum. I have both of them and the eau de parfum is superior, opening and all.

When it first goes on I didn’t like it but as it dries it is awesome and continues to get better. Don’t base it on the first few minutes
Absolutely agree
The opening is very harsh. I had to stay away from this one for quite awhile. I ended up finding a sample in my drawer few months ago and it must have macerated cause it is beautiful. Pretty crazy they made an intense version of this one too recently. The dry down tho on the original is magic
That’s definitely the best part.
I blind buy all my fragrances and that’s over a hundred and is only 2 I didn’t like but my wife like them and wear them so my money didn’t waste. But if you like Carlisle you will probably like Red Tobacco

I have this and I really like it, but just don't wear it much. Its an "all day" commitment for me. I literally spray 1 spray on my chest, and this stuff doesn't stop until the next day. My wife can't stand it for the first few hours, so I just don't have many places to wear it. It is definitely nuclear for me.
You nailed it and something I will be mentioning in my rotation vid. This is a commitment for sure!
Maybe you have a vintage one, I spray between 5 and 6 sprays and projection is super ok.

I got a screw cap version and it has been reformulated. Doesn't project. It's not strong and beast mode like people say everywhere. If you want to buy red tobacco now go for the intense, the extrait version. You will be disappointed with the edp

@@gerardgeorge umyes I was very disappointed. Even with maceration it's still the same.
I have a pressurized atomiser magnetic cap version (newest i guess) and it blows all my fragrances out of the water, lasts forever and is my most loved fragrance of all of them (have about 55 fragrances at this point) not dissappointed myself at all.
Not for every occasion, but when sprayed with caution it could he my signature scent
Either you got a Turkey made copy or a refilled diluted juice.. screw caps are really good performers.. I own a magnetic cap tho, it is a beast mode performer just like the screw cap one's.

Hey Gerard. I know you purchase from Tjmax's website sometimes. How long does it take for them to ship put the package? Also have you ever had your order canceled? Any issues from ordering on their site?
I've never had an order cancelled and it can take up to a week although I have had other orders ship within a couple days.
I've ordered five Manceras from TJMaxx and I've had the same experience as Gerard.

Amazing scent that is much sweeter than this.
Man, this was one that I really didn't like. It just did not come together for me. I like Mancera, I like tobacco notes, but the oud just ruined it for me. This one was a hard pass for me.
I've been back and forth with this one today.
All Montale and Mancera (same perfumer) have the same chemical waste dump back bone.
Very evident in the opening of this.
Not one of my favorites, bur i donat least enjoy owning it and wearing it from time to time. A decant is definitely all you need 😂
