I used to watch the Flavourstone infomercial almost every night just for relaxation. Cathy Mitchell is super friendly, the products are always genuinely pretty good, and everything just feels warm and fuzzy. Great way to drift off to sleep.
This commercial must have aired on Canadian TV (or close to the border) because the info slide with payment information is to a Canadian address, and 26:38 is the telltale Canadian pronunciation of "out".
I remember it was sold at Sam’s Club for a while. It was a kit that included the tools and two rolls of the paper. My mother realized the paper would run out after about two weeks of cooking and pronounced it a ripoff.
I remember being a kid, constantly eating these microwavable "fast fries" in the 90s. it was a box of straight french fries, each fry had its own slot with probably this same material cooking them. That being said, I can not fathom being an adult and making the kinds of things she's suggesting in here. A lot of the food doesn't even look appealing, though maybe its that wonderful VHS aesthetic we got going on here.
My microwave cooks better than that. It's because I have a Sharp Carousel Convection Microwave Oven and it's the best. First one I had I gave away after 25 years of regular use and got a new one but it was the same. I'm now at 10 years with this one
Cathy Mitchell is amazing. She should have her own cooking show- complete with 'dippity dogs'.
LOL!
YES!!!!
Hot dippity dog!
Gotta stock up with crescent rolls!
Don’t mess with her crescent rolls!
I remember watching this at 2am during the summer of '94. Summer break was great. Go to sleep at 3am and wake up at noon.
I still do that!
🤣🤣🤣☝I sometimes still do that!🤣
You deserve it!
This is definitely up there with the most comforting infomercials of all time. Thanks for posting this, I can't wait to fall asleep to it
Good night! Don't forget to turn your pager off!
How can you sleep when people are microwaving Scotch Tape on high for 20 minutes???
Organic scotch tape?
6:23 "the fat drains away, very healthy cooking"
6:46 nevermind i'm going to pour it all back
LOL!!!

...especially when you've had too much to drink that night!
Absolutely correct! Good comfy stuff.
Good to fall asleep to!
@@codedrop3339 you ain't neva lying
I say it like it is!
Cathy is the Grandma I always wish I had.
Who is Grandpa? Ron Popeil?
The nostalgia is pouring out of this commercial. Love the decor, colors, and way of speaking.
"Whisper Quiet"
Thanks for uploading! I loved these infomercials as a kid.
Glad you enjoyed it!
It’s your girl Kathy!
Go Girl!
She is still making that potatoe recipe and dippity dogs lol 😂
And Cinnamon Rolls
lol
Thanks for this. There’s something about it I just love. I watched it over and over again back in the day ♥️
Glad you enjoyed it!
So if any of Cathy’s children touches her kitchen scissors she’ll kill them that’s a scary thought
lol
I know this is an infomercial but I'm completely obsessed by the bank of microwaves behind her
It's all about the microwaves!

I think Cathy says "eh" a few times as well.
@@codedrop3339 did microcrisp make an oven ?
Not sure.
6:52, 16:57 he probably went and threw that food away 😂😂
Definitely!!!
Probably so
Indeed
She has wow and flutter in her voice.
Food will do that to you!
I ended up snowed in with her in vermont...got a Dutch rudder and a rusty mallard that night.
Was she “whisper quiet”?
@@codedrop3339 the dippity dog had her pretty loud
Something tells me we are now off topic ;)
11:30 "They cook much evener"
Grammar wasn't the focus here...only good food.
@@codedrop3339 Then it was a fail on both counts!

But it tastes so good!

You are right
SNACK TIME WITH KATHY 7:01
APPLE PIE AND DIPPITY DOGS
Fun!!!
I always loved her nails! Lol
Her nails made the food taste better!
" Hey! it's yo girl Cathy"
Go Cathy Go!
This is filmed in 19 BAF (before air fryer). We currently live in the year 13 AAF.
I like the BAF era better!

I’m BAF 4 Life!!!
I'll respect your opinion even if it's BSO ;)

BREAKFAST AND LUNCH WITH KATHY 17:05
Good times
3:54 that's my girl!
Cathy is a good girl!
A 7 minute omelet? Might as well gnaw on a tire lol!! Great infomercial to fall asleep to 😴
...when you wake up, make yourself a 7 min omelet!!!
U can put tape in the microwave ?
Good point! No idea!?!
BAHAHAHAHA YESSSSSS I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS COMMENT
We didn’t care about that in the 90s!
Not sure why but videos like this feel very homely
The world was a much simpler time back then.
Omg…nostalgia 101….but god…Cathy…20min ribs would shut down a local transformer. Also, SCOTCH tape in the microwave?.?
Sticky situation!
Young Cathy reminds me of cereza from bayonetta 3 (I've not actually played that game just watched the trailers)
I do see some resemblance.
Chef Mike
Yes chef!
If she microwaved a lamb shank in Microcrisp I would have lost it.
That part was edited out!
Sounds like the Hot pocket invention. Thoughts? Who came first.
Does it have plastic tape included?
I'm surprised this stuff didn't end up in grocery stores.
True
I remember it was sold at Sam’s Club for a while. It was a kit that included the tools and two rolls of the paper. My mother realized the paper would run out after about two weeks of cooking and pronounced it a ripoff.
You are exactly right.
@@nealwhaley63 but did it crisp stuff. i see it 31 bucks on ebAy. im tempted
Buy it and post a picture!
This was the famed infomercial where she smoked rock before.😊
Or did she MicroCrisp the rock before?

Carb free!
Is this basically what you cook a hot pocket in?
Minus the scotch tape
hour in the oven? 20 min for those chops. putting tape on paper?
She knows what she is doing.
HEY IT’S YA GIRL CATHY
…and she’s cookin’ !!!
Crazy to think Cathy is in her 30s in this!
I would have thought 40s
She's 77 as of August 25, 2024.
Good healthy eating
Am I the only one thats grossed out by microwaving tape? Surely some of that is getting in the food.
Extra taste?
That chicken breast at around 11 minutes looks positively heinous.
Don't judge a chicken breast by it's cover! LOL
I thought she said in another video to not overlap the microcrisp too much to avoid it cooking itself?
That's what the plastic tape if for!
I wonder if she knows she has a parody video on UA-cam with Jaboody dubs...its hilarious.
Link?
If you want to watch the instructional video it’s right here

Kitchen scissors just ain't that serious, Cathy.
It's only serious when you are running with kitchen scissors!
@@codedrop3339😂

Those cinnamon buns still look raw haha

A “disposable oven” being a selling point seems so weird from 2024

No i think this was either 1993 or 1994
It was definitely 1994 when I first saw it.
I like 1994 as well
1994 her cookin’ with cathy microcrisp book came out in 93
Who is the announcer
Not sure
This product has three patents from a major company. Which one? None of your business. 🤣
Lol
Mmm, plastic tape in the microwave. 😅
Plastic tape lowers cholesterol!
This guy muttering random nothings every few minutes kills me
lol
They must not pay Kathy very well for her 1,000's of infomercials she can't afford frozen pizza
Or she just likes eating frozen pizza 🤷♂️
She has teenagers but she doesn't want them using the oven? Ridiculous
Ovens are tricky!
Damn 6 minutes for chicken. People weren’t worried about salmonella or what?
Medium rare chicken?
She looks so young here
That's because she eats very healthy with the MicroCrisp!
not sure it's a good idea to eat food that had microwaved scotch tape glue right over it
I think the scotch tape was organic!
People really purchased this trash 🤣😂🤣😊😂😊
They still do…on eBay!
😂 UA-cam videos today are produced better than this infomercial.
But are those UA-cam videos “whisper quiet”?
