Hey Dan, I remember about 4 years ago I was in freshman year of highschool and I’m now internationally studying in college. Throughout that whole time I had been watching you and the few first weeks into my football season I had gotten the worst possible wrist break you can get. I remember getting it at 10pm and getting surgery to fix it at 3am, so as you can imagine I was laying in that hospital bed with my wrist looking like a squiggly line and insane amounts of pain, man I sat and watched every video on your channel until 3am like it never even happened. I will always remember that day and how much you helped me take my mind off of one of the roughest days I’ve ever had, thank you Dan get better dude I love you and your videos.

Love you Dan. In my experience with hospitals at 4am, not being drunk, drugged, or gunshot usually leads to the doctors/nurses to be a lot more chill and friendly.
Or stabbed, but yes very true. Also in My personal experience it also depends on the size of the area you're in and diversity of the area.

Dan I wish you a "speedy" recovery, I hate this happened but happy at the same time you're in good spirit. A few years back when I was still in high school I assumed I was good on my dirt bike and looped it like a mf'r and fractured my fibula and tore a ligament which required surgery. And like you said, it didn't hurt, I kick started my bike on that leg and hobbled into after hours er to find out it wasn't a good one lol. Had a plate & 8 screws installed in my leg and ligament repair, God almighty was it hurting after that!! Took 6 1/2 months to fully heal which is why I quoted speedy. Much love Dan, you're the GOAT. Keep us posted!

Hey dan!!! Gotta admit I fell off the UA-cam band wagon and stopped watching all my favorite channels. Back on mother's day I got into a pretty awesome accident! Broken shoulder blade, broken collar bone, 6 broken ribs, 3 broken vertebrae, punctured lung and a bruised liver. Just watched you're "starting over vid" very proud of how far you've come 🤘 learning how to do everything over again isn't easy.

Speaking from someone who has a little insight about what is going on in hospitals right now, they were probably ecstatic to have a patient that wasn't from Covid. Hope you recover soon Dan!
It really really sucks that you're going through this again Dan, but I thank God it wasn't as bad as the R6 crash. And also thankfully you're in a much much better position financially this time around. I hope your recovery is faster than expected but not so fast to the point that you don't heal properly before you try to go back to full send mode and you reinjure something. Last thing, how's your back doing? I remember a little while back you were having problems with it, did this accident reaggravate that at all? Positive vibes and Prayers are being sent to You, Laura and the Pups.

@@SI0AX he got rid of it a while ago. He said he had gotten bored riding it. It was too expensive and too fast and he didn’t feel like it was enjoyable riding a $30k bike that was 240whp.
@@arc_of_the_covenant I heard the bike was $50k. Makes a lot of sense, it's so fast you can't really enjoy it without doing suicidal speeds and be at high risk of destroying it. I kind of figured that is the reason, I imagine doing a wheelie on this bike is super sketchy lol.

@@samuelmyers9146 I just started riding this year but the town is very flat. Best I've managed is 15mph GPS speed in a nearby parking lot with smooth asphalt and a decent downhill grade. I've thankfully not eaten it while going that speed. My wreck was about three weeks ago. I've still some slight bruised feeling in my knee but two days after the wreck the whole thing had that purple-to-red-to-yellow gradient which surprised me 'cause the scrape was small and never did feel bruised. I started worrying I might've broken my kneecap, but I was back riding in a few days and without much pain after a week.
If you properly busted yourself up too today I wish you a fast recovery as well. And as always: "Uphill Sucks!"

Bro i highsided doing 70mph back in 2016 and shattered my clavicle and foot. I hopped up and ran over to my bike floppy foot and all. Tried to lift my 400 pound kawi off its side and my left arm just sank everytime i tried to lift the bike. Being in shock is a hell of a thing. I didnt feel much. Got a 12 inch plate with 13 screws to rebuild my collarbone. Foot healed up decent on its own
Mine wasn't a wreck, but I also broke my clavicle and ripped some of the tendons in there as well. Worst pain I've ever been in. I also have a plate, but only 8 screws in mine.
@@dylanandersen9318 man that had to have hurt, i was “lucky” my clavicle shattered they said. Otherwise it could’ve punctures an artery or shredded tendons. Shitty part is i broke the collarbone a 2nd time a year after the surgery in a dirtbike crash lol. Plate held together just broke at the plate and the sternum. Dans like me and will learn the hard way multiple times.
I have learned from max wrist I just chill on two wheels. Glad you are recovering.

Great to hear the medical staff were good to you this time. Especially now with covid, they are working harder than ever. Props to all the EMT's, doctors, nurses and aides everywhere. We appreciate you.

I crashed my bike into the back of a Bus that just stopped in front of me, got thrown off and then hit by a Car (Friday 13th). I'm going into surgery this morning to have my knee repaired and some pins in my Leg. And my bikes a write off. Still, it could always be worse, keep your chin up Dan, I know how you feel.👍🇬🇧🇬🇧✌️

Ankle injuries are shitty, my mom crushed her ankle like 15 years ago on a bike and had like 5 long metal bars going through her ankle and lower foot.
Get well soon, hope you heal up nice and dont have any ankle issues later.
A little tip: Always use high shoes\boots and if you crash, check yourself before you stand up.

Once you are done with the early medical stuff and surgery you should write a letter to the hospital thanking them for the good service. It may not seem like a big deal to them, but doctors and nurses getting complements for a job well done doesn't happen as often as it should.
Life has a funny way of making us slow down and look at what we are doing from a different perspective, good luck with your recovery and i hope to catch some of your streams here soon!

Shattered mine in November. Pain wasn’t an issue.. it’s more the inconvenience. Cooking or cleaning or showering or anything becomes so much more difficult. And have to keep it elevated… sucks man. Glad you’re in good spirits.

Man I hope the best for you. Currently laid up at home because I looped my atv pulling a buddy out fractured spine and now have 8 screws and a couple rods in there. 0/10 wouldn't recommend. Good luck on a speedy and safe recovery

i just got hit by a car on my f4i a few weeks ago and feel the exact same way. it was a hit and run accident but i got out with just some soreness and mild road burn, but the entire time i was just joking with the police and firefighters because that’s the only thing i could do about the situation to make myself feel better. to everyone around it seemed kind of fucked up but at the end of the day it’s a type of coping mechanism. i’m glad you made it out of your accident in (relatively) one piece!
Get well Dan and I was in E.R not long ago for a gall stones and ended up getting my gallbladder removed but I’ll tell you one thing the staff makes a major difference in the experience and I’m greatful I had down to earth staff and again I hope you get well soon 💪🏽

Crushed the top of my tibia into dust and fractured my elbow riding 2 years ago. First accident and first broken bones. Luckily some guys were able to get me out of the road safely and the EMTs, the cop, and the hospital were all super cool. The EMTs had apparently met me before at my then retail job and were trying to get a selfie with me, cop didn’t write a ticket, and the ER ladies were quick with the pain meds and the flirts so I was laughing for the first few hours until it was time for X-rays when they yank your shit all around. Glad you’re all right man, here’s to a speedy recovery

Speedy recovery man. Breaking bones sucks. 4/6/21 I rolled my car multiple times and then hit a telephone pole it broke and fell on my car while upside down with live wires I was trapped fr hr. Cut out w jaws of life. Was in ICU Didn't wake up for 3 days. Broke 8 vertebrae in my back, broke my neck in a spot. Broke where skull and spine connect. Broke skull in 2 spots. Broke my sturnum in 2 spots. Broke my wrist. Collapsed my lung. They said I should be dead. They said id be paralyzed. I was walking the day I woke up. I still can't do half what I use to can't twist or look around the same but I'm still living life and having fun

Get better soon man, I had a bad accident a month ago and totaled my bike. Got thrown 40 feet, and hit the ground HARD. Walked away with a dislocated shoulder, messed up ankle and road rash…

I personally have some experience with a broken ankle. I was in high school football practice (lineman) and my body twisted one way, my foot didn't. I heard a MASSIVE Crack. I don't exactly remember much of the next few minutes, the next thing I remember is the trainer and nurse putting splint on my ankle. I looked down an my leg was straight, but my ankle was completely sideways. 😫 It took like an hour to get the the Hospital in the ambulance and the drugs weren't enough to make the pain go away (I'm 16 years old, 245 lbs. 6"1) the took x-rays, then knocked me out to set my foot. I had to wait a few weeks before surgery cuz of inflammation. Apparently both my tibia and fibula were shattered in a compound fracture. It does get better Dan, just takes time and patience. You'll be back on your feet soon!

I'm almost all healed from dropping mine 3 hrs away from home. Got it up, bent the bars and footboard back and rode it home. Quite a bit of damage to me and my girlfriend was nice enough to spend two hours with tweezers pulling asphalt out of my body. Hope you are doing better.
Crashed yesterday t boned a trailer that pulled out in front of me broke my knee and tore ligaments but happy to be alive glad to see you’re doin well
I had a very similar injury 3 1/2 months ago. Tore every ligament in my ankle and spiral fractured both my tibia and fibia. Now 2 titanium plates and 10 screws later and 3 months I'm walking again in a boot. Hope for a fast recovery for you Dan! I know exactly what you're going thru.
