Bubs White on Tele: he played that killer solo on "The Strain", from Let's Make Up & Be Friendly. This has a bit of a Captain Beefheart vibe to it, and that's a good thing.
Grate one mate! I'd always hoped to see a better quality version of this performance. Particularly since it's so much different than the one that is on the LP. Well Done!
Somehow (I can't remember any particular reason), I got it into my head that the conga player was Borneo Fred Munt, ex-roadie for the Bonzos. A quick online search for his name yielded something that would seem to back this up: www.aylesburyfriars.co.uk/interviewsrogerruskinspear.html
@Sagan Thacker N.B. the link in my previous comment also has him 'fessing up to ripping off his ideas wholesale from "Professor" Bruce Lacey! m.ua-cam.com/video/TtuGVRTHLP0/v-deo.html He would have difficulty trying to deny that, mind you...
@@saganrak Except after watching this a dozen times I believe he's not really playing that conga. Maybe it's the drummer in me, biut he seems to be lightly stroking the very edge of the head, usually off the beat.
Ian Wallace on drums, Dennis Cowan on bass, Anthony "Bubs" White on guitar, "Borneo" Fred Munt on congas, Vivian Stanshall on vocals, Roger Ruskin Spear on robots and theremin leg.
To me this is one of the most important video clips of Internet. I only watch it on special occasions.
Bub's tearing that Tele up! It is a Criminal Shame that this group did not progress, so Tight.
The Legend that is Stanshall.
This is it! It doesn’t get any better than this… The older upload with the time stamp was good but this is a massive upgrade in quality. Thanks.

Fuck yeah.
Could've toured with early gong and hawkwind. .
I get big Soft Machine - We Did It Again vibes from the intro part.
Ian Wallace of King Crimson
Well, I woke up late this morning
My head was in a whirl
Only then I realized

Vivian Stanshall singing/ frontman; Bubs White on Telecaster; that's all I know.

I believe this is taking the piss out of the band Black Sabbath. (Specifically, the lyrics, and Stanshall's hand tremor.)
Proof that the Bozos could have been a great, serious rock band! This song rocks!.........naaahhhhh!!!!!
Bonzonaro? 🤪🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Amazon's great auto correction strikes again! I would never call the bonzos bozos!!!!!
