Actually Gc and Gd perms are quite easy to remember and kinda fun to execute. Those who are struggling to learn them all at once should try to start with these two.
I have seen several variations of these algorithns and all I can say is, it is really up to us to pick the best set of algs that will help us to recognize and remember them better. I have succesfully memorized all pll algs and 12 more oll algs to memorize. Almost there!
how i remember them is different (same with labels) i point the Corner-Corner pair(Headlights) towards myself and look the the Corner-Edge pair(Bar) Left = Gc (G1) Left-Back = Gb (G2) Right-Back = Gd (G3) Right = Ga (G4) for G1/G4 move the Bar to the back and do a J-Perm and that side (i use Jb and a reflected version) then to a Z-Perm going the other direction for G2/G3 move the Bar to the side (ex: Right-Back -> Right) do the same J-Perm trick and finally an H-Perm
I'm learning G perms now (because I keep having them), I chose Gd as my first G perm because the start of the alg looked easy and it was actually easier than I expected and really fun
If you come across any G-perm, pay close attention to the headlights and the blocks (as they tell a very big difference on all 4, and just ignore the arrows), match the blocks in their respective color scheme and execute the algorithm. Like for instance the Ga perm has 2 blocks on the left side if your headlights is just behind. I execute the algorithm with the blocks in front of me matching in their color scheme and headlights to the left and then i ''R2 U (R' U R' U') (R U' R2) D U' (R' U R D') [U]'' my way into solving it. Gb-perm has headlights on the back and 2 blocks in front and then algorithm away and so on.. Just be careful you don't confuse your G perms with R perms. xD
I just need to learn Rb, Ja, Nb, V, and.....all Gs... I am not worried about R and J but I am a bit for N and V.... Then their are G Perms! I am actually pretty good at recognizing them-I always look for headlight/whole block and then whatever goes along with it. Every time I get a G Perm I notice right away...well wish me luck learning haha!
For recognition of g perms, I created a new pattern which is the opposite headlights which is the exact opposite of the normal headlights, meaning that the colours are opposite instead of being the same
I just realized i havent learnt g perms because you can setup basically every perm with the same moves you solve it, except literary the g perms.. BUT.. there's kind of a solution to that. Ga on a solved cube makes Gb and vice versa, same with Gc and Gd. So you can learn them in pairs. Not as easy as drilling one alg over and over, but doing it with two is definitely better than nothing. Hope this helps somebody mby
My favourite PLL's: 1. J Perm (both) 2. Z Perm (feels good to execute) 3. T Perm (easy) Least Favourite: 1: G Perms (uhh) 2: E Perm (awkward) 3: V Perm (I use the RUD rotation-less alg)
These are my algs. I think about it like this. When the block is in the back you do a R2 U’ towards the block. The block in the front shows me to do a R2 U towards the block. The block on the back side tells me to do a R’ where the empty space is. The block on the front side tells me to do a R towards the empty space. Prob really bad explanation but eh
Least favorite PLL: Z perm. Why? Because nobody can keep their M and M' fucking straight anymore. I have seen several different sources that mix those up, and as a new cuber, it gets very frustrating. So I decided that I'ma use the tried and true "Left to Right, Up to Down" method, and say that M = toward you, while M' = away from you. E = same as U, E' = same as U'. S = same as F, S' = same as F'. Most importantly, X = toward you, while X' = away from you. I just do not understand why that is backwards. I adjust my own algorithms to accommodate this. Just takes some trial and error when learning new algorithms that may use these. I mean ultimately it's just knowing which way to turn everything and slapping it into your muscle memory, but like I said, as a newber who is very pedantic, it gets frustrating.

Yes! A B and C are very easy! But not the GD. I was able to memorize A B and C, but I can tell that the D was very hard to memorize. I'll call it a night =)

I don't know if you read these comments anymore, but thank you sir! after a few days I finally know all G perms! they are actually really easy to execute, I love them now.
I would seriously much rather learn olls cause they are so easy and most of them has simple triggers but now that I’ve learned those it doesn’t matter just 493 zbll lags to go
I learns one look last layer the algs are easy there are like 35,000 algs oll only has 57 pll only 22 crll 5000 algs over 500 zblls come on you can learn roux if you want less algs only 42 algs vls 200+ algs I know all of this you can learn full oll oh yea my name Is a jok I don't use roux
Thank you so much! this helped me and now Im learning G perms much easier! you need more subs for this effort! EDIT : thanks for liking this comment brody!
Top five worst fears... 5: going to sleep then dying the next day 4: slipping and falling on cement 3:any form of surgery 2:Getting super close to a PB but then failing 1: Last but not least... Learning G-Perms, LAST FOUR ALGS FOR FULL PLL!!!!!!
Thaaaaank youuuuuuuuuuuuu. My favorite PLL is the Jb perm and my least favorite is the Gd perm (even though I hate all G perms). edit: THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR THE Ga PERM IN THE VIDEO (I like it now)

Illusion 100
I Guess your comment wasn’t easy to write ,but wasn’t too hard
Lol
I use different algs
@@navrajdhillon2419 I also use different algs which does not have wide layer turns.
gb perm on this list is the most akward for me on this list. Gd is dang easy..
Another reason G perms suck is because it feels like it's the only PLL I ever get
yes like seriously I got Ga twice in my two solves and then got a Gb after that
And on 4x4 once I got at least ten solves in a row with OLL parity. It was awful. One of them was a PB, though :)
I'm fairly certain that G-perms are the most common PLL to get (~1/3 chance). Stuff like H- and Z-perm are like a 5% chance.
Chase Szafnicki I think the n perms are the rarest PLL
True
Actually Gc and Gd perms are quite easy to remember and kinda fun to execute. Those who are struggling to learn them all at once should try to start with these two.
Thnx friend
Thank you so much. I learned all 4 G perms in one hour! Amazing video! Very helpful for beginners
I have seen several variations of these algorithns and all I can say is, it is really up to us to pick the best set of algs that will help us to recognize and remember them better. I have succesfully memorized all pll algs and 12 more oll algs to memorize. Almost there!
Wow great job on this. This was the only pll that haunted me and I couldnt get over it. Thanks so much. You just earned a sub.
yay
I already know G perms but I still hate them because of a regrip and cube rotation and hard to execute fast
love your f2l videos
This isn't too bad
This is harder...
WHAT THE F*** IS THIS S***
😂😂🤣🤣😂🤣😂😂😂😂🤣
Oh hi gogolatomic
Twistii Cuber oh hi twistii lmao
Oh hi Alex
I hate when people get so many like and a heart just by quoting the video
180th like
how i remember them is different (same with labels)
i point the Corner-Corner pair(Headlights) towards myself and look the the Corner-Edge pair(Bar)
Left = Gc (G1)
Left-Back = Gb (G2)
Right-Back = Gd (G3)
Right = Ga (G4)
for G1/G4 move the Bar to the back and do a J-Perm and that side (i use Jb and a reflected version)
then to a Z-Perm going the other direction
for G2/G3 move the Bar to the side (ex: Right-Back -> Right) do the same J-Perm trick and finally an H-Perm
I'm learning G perms now (because I keep having them), I chose Gd as my first G perm because the start of the alg looked easy and it was actually easier than I expected and really fun
I use Roux but this is still helpful idk why 😂😂😂thanks brody
little would he know, a master would stem from this random person on the internet
I learned all of PLL without g perms for like a year and learned the g perms in only 1 day because of this video
This video have made G-perms very easy for me.Thankk you so much.
I have been trying to learn the g perms since 6 months Today I watched your video and learned all the four of them Thank you so much
Subbed you ....
Everyone: G Perm
Me: A Perm + U Perm
Great Fluorescent Yellow Stickers !!!
Wow nice title, how did you come up with it?
thanks lol
I don't like it, it's terrible
np :P
+Carter Cuber think you could make a better one...
evil within me lol it's a joke, Stanley came up with it
I feel like finger drags are slow nd inconvenient when compared to the U push with your left finger, I use that and I think you should too.
Wdym finger drags are fast af
Gb is actually my favourite! I just do the Ga perm in reverse. No regrip, no rotation, no weird fingertricks.
Thanks cause of you and jperm I learned full PLL
You helped me learn the g perm which I have trying to learn for days
''Most people are afraid of G perms''
Me: Has the R perms and the G perms to learn
Also me: *Oh No*
R perm is easy
ik but they hard in my opinion
@@ua-perm5167 I also have my N-perms. Hopefully you've learned them by now.

The website I use to memorize PLL algs doesn't even put arrows on the G Perms, making it even harder to understand
I just realized i havent learnt g perms because you can setup basically every perm with the same moves you solve it, except literary the g perms.. BUT.. there's kind of a solution to that. This helpled sooooo much!
Since C and D is in different position, not (both) same of them, i just use A and B for opposite
G Perms are easy when your using Roux...
Ive used a very short version of these gperm having only 12 moves and also which is easier to rotate
My favourite PLL's:
1. J Perm (both)
2. Z Perm (feels good to execute)
3. T Perm (easy)
Least Favourite:
1: G Perms (uhh)
2: E Perm (awkward)
3: V Perm (I use the RUD rotation-less alg)
What's your Vperm alg?
Carter Cuber I use: (R' U R' U') (R D' R' D R') (U D') R2 U' R2 D R2
OMG THIS REALLY HELPED!! THANKS!!!!
When i started watching this video my name was Jack...
Now I'm named Gack
What the hack
I fear no man. But that thing (*G Perms*) It scares me.
Finally i have learnt full pll
These are my algs. I think about it like this. When the block is in the back you do a R2 U’ towards the block. The block in the front shows me to do a R2 U towards the block. For the g perms that start with the left hand, I use the R U D algs
these all just lead me to more headlights
Thank you

I need to improve my f2l. I will improve my pll soon after

Jb perm - my favorite
All g perms - hate those :D
Funny that brody hates Gb meanwhile me loving it
Yes I still love it and it's one of my fastest plls
Now I know all plls :)
Obviously like most, T perm and Jb perm are the favorite and N and G perm the least favourite
WTF!! we got the same reaction there when I saw G Perms lmao
What if the headlights is on the left side, and the block is in the front left side-towards you??
Then that's not a G perm. That's some other type of PLL.
BrodytheCuber ...ok. but it looks like a G-perm. The same headlights and the block of two.
That is an Ra-perm or a T-perm.
they don’t have the worst recognition, it’s headlights with 1 bar
G perms vs dot olls
I have a dot OLL tutorial as well
