Pros and cons - with a small rotary electric drill I have been present when someone got injured with a dislocated finger when their glove snagged and wrapped around the drill-bit. The rock-drill shaft is quite smooth. There's pro's to wearing gloves too - including for a lot of drilling they would give some isolation from the vibration
Pretty well done. I've seen too many steels shank just ahead of the dognut to feel good about having a helper with collaring tbe hole. Risk is low if chuck liners and steel shanks are not worn.
