Basic set-up of condition monitoring (CBM) functionality in VLT® drives

This video explains how to set up and run the CBM functionality in a VLT® drive from Danfoss, to support condition-based maintenance. The demonstration shows how to perform set-up via the local control panel or VLT® Motion Control Tool MCT 10, in the following steps:
1. Establishing the baseline
2. Defining threshold values
3. Performing monitoring
4. Fault simulation
A VLT® drive equipped with CBM functionality can alert the operator to typical motor failures such as a stator winding short circuit, load faults and mechanical faults. The operator receives the alarm or warning in the local control panel, traffic light indicators, MCT 10 tool, in the PLC, or via the DrivePro® Remote Monitoring tool.
