One thing not mentioned for the garrisons is the extra boss. Sometimes you will get a drop for an item that will summon another boss that gives you another chance at the mount drops so if youre in a group it increases your chances for one to drop for an extra chance
Since joining WOW a little over a year ago, I feel like I've come so far. Yet when I look up and see everything I still haven't done, the locations I haven't even been to yet, the things I haven't even engaged in, it's all so overwhelming. Mists Of Pandaria Remix allowed me to finally get enough mounts to receive the Heavenly Azure Cloud Serpent. I'm still excited about that. The main thing I wanted from Remix was the mounts, just like with Plunderstorm, and I was able to get them all from both thankfully. Other than PVP, I find the achievement mounts to be the hardest to get. Some still require other players. Plus, I'm not a very coordinated person. As of now the only "Glory Of" mounts I've got are the Rusted and Iron Proto Drakes and the Corrupted Fire Hawk and I honestly didn't think I'd even be able to get those. LOL! Well, here's to another year of mount collecting. I wish everyone luck.
The Big Dig also has another mount that’s RNG, the Clayscale Hornstrider. It can drop from the tomes you earn while doing activities during the event, or the boss at the end.

The hardest part of soloing a Grand Hunt is doing all 6 tasks before Blizzard’s shitty system kicks you into a new shard.
