Yes, the above performance was done in Praha (Prague). The discovery was made in Prague in December 2015, and announced in January, 2016. Yes, many of you on here are among the first to hear it. It is missing the vocal line (soprano voice) to lyrics by Lorenzo da Ponte. The original autograph has not been found, What was found, and what was found, is a print edition published by a Viennese publisher. It is considered a Cantata, and has the K number of KV 477a in the Mozart Kochel Anhang. It was probably composed in autumn 1785. . It has three sections, one by Salieri, the middle by Mozart and the last by someone whose name, or sobriquet, was "Cornetti." It was written for Nancy (Anna Selina) Storace, the great soprano, who was active in Vienna in 1785, and who was recovering from illness at this time (hence the "Ricuperata Saluta" or "recovered health" in the title). The three sections are fairly simple, with Salieri's, imho, being a bit more straightforward and repetitive than either Mozart's or Cornetti's. In Mozart's case, he was certainly writing much more nuanced and textured lieder and concert arias at this time, so his contribution here is a sort of trifle, and not a serious attempt at a concert aria. Proves that he could write for any number of occasions and on many many different levels. . My guess is that this Cantata, which is what it has been termed, was a friendly gift to Nancy by three composers who also admired her great artistry. This important work proves that Mozart and Salieri were on friendly terms, as they collaborated on the work. The long-disproven notion that Mozart was somehow poisoned by Salieri has no merit, was renounced by Moscheles who attended Salieri at his deathbed, and was recanted by Salieri himself. It never happened. Mozart died of natural causes - chronic renal disease, and an acute infectious illness (strep was endemic in Vienna in winter1791, see Zegers et al) and then hypovolemic shock from bloodletting.

Even before the piece was re-discovered we "knew" that the third composer is most probably Alessandro Cornet(ti) (+c.1795). I don't know if something has changed in the meantime.
