You know, I've seen a lot of arguments about whether the lyrics work well or not, and about how odd the word choices are. But I feel that fits perfectly with Omega. Just like with Omega M/F he nailed the outward appearance but he's a bit muddled on details because he's an alien AI.
It's essentially going through a mental breakdown the first set of lyrics is it reflecting on its own existence and purpose. the next section is it stating its confusion with humanity's paradoxical strength. Then Omega restates the challenge before it says that humanity is beguiling and determined yet it's not documented. finally it theorizes that the source of our strength is due to or heritage and evolution.

i find it amazing how they used the azys lla leitmotif in both shinryu's and omega's theme. shinryu's theme is the orchestral one, because he's rather elegant while omega has the more rocky one, in addition of robot-like sound effects because he's, well, a robot after realizing that watching the cutscene where they fight feels more epic

@@Multifridgeman in this case its likely to be the other way around. Omega is older than Allag. It's likely that some of the Allagans' technology came from reverse engineering Omega.
The first fight against Omega was pretty great, and I'm glad it happened with this playing throughout the entire thing. 4.4 in general had really good music between this, A Land Long Dead, and Sunrise.
I mean not really every patch. We get maybe one or two good songs a patch. The rest of this tier is dull and o1-8 were all just bad mixes of old songs. They should've remixed the music better for a fresh feel rather than nostalgic feel.

I know of it but they don't really include this electro/trance mix and vocoder/robotic voices in them unfortunately. Similar songs I like are the ones from Alexander like the Cruise Chaser's Theme / Brute Justice's Theme / Alexander Boss Theme etc. Though they are more on the electro/trance side.
At first I thought this was the most-nonsense of the amazing FF14 ost. But knowing the lyrics I think it’s actually best lyrically ( It really tells a story ( instead of just sounding cool. I could definitely see it being the theme for it’s epic series.( And I also cannot get the idea of combining the song with the return of the Obra Dinn as the basis for said series)

Regarding the model and animations you mentioned, whoever works on these are really good at making mechanical enemies. Brute Justice looks so awesome considering that they had to work with a Gundam robot.
Yeah, there's plenty of time for that second move to come out and they were sub-one percent. From the looks of the video, they cut *just* before the fight fade-to-black, and added a dissolve up to that point.

Larboard was in use before Port came into common usage. People switched because Larboard/Starboard was easy to mix up when shouting on a ship.
