My Orient Star basic date got overwound. After a cleaning at the watchmaker's, it works and looks fine. I paid about 450€ for the watch. I can't belive worse can happen with a 2-3K Tudor.
I experienced the Black Bay GMT date wheel issue, when the original BB GMT was released. Put me off the brand. Ended up flipping the watch and getting a Seamaster Planet Ocean, a watch that has functioned flawlessly since purchasing it.
Don’t wear a glove if you are pulling the crown. You can easily underestimate the force you are applying when wearing a glove especially that thick - see 4:33. It it is awkward to pull because the loose fabric is getting in the way.
I like Tudor but both my Royal and black bay have gone bad and had to go to Rolex for servicing. I will say I think the Tudor Day date is the best entry level luxury piece you can get. Anything below it like any longines, Oris etc have no business against the finishing quality of a Tudor Royal. I will add though i think I’ll be sticking with Omega moving forward because I haven’t had any issues with them
GS , The Citizen , Casio Oceanus watches are all cheaper than a Tudor Royale and are waaaay better finished than any Tudor . Do your research before spewing out such statements with confidence lol
Two Rs Get Refund Get Rolex I've owned Rolex all my life and such nightmares never happen. You get what you pay for in life. Condolences on the self gift but you deserve better.
That's so wild!! Glad they took care of it, but that would be so unsettling...
Absolutely. Thank you for watching!

I’m sorry you had to experience that. Seamaster is a great watch!
6 weeks??? 😮 that puts me off a lot tbh for that price despite having some of the nicest looking watches
I can understand, they had to ship it to New York to the Tudor service center here in the US.
Tudor is pointless.
It's just Rolex for people that can't get a Rolex.
Their entry-level stuff is worse than Tissot and Hamilton spec-wise.

still it shouldn't break that easily

I appreciate the sentiment. If only a steel day date was a thing!
They should have just swapped it for a new one. Ridiculous they make you wait for actual warranty service on a 5 day old watch.
It happens. Thank you for watching!
Wow...pretty pathetic (5-6 weeks) for a tool watch.
It did take a little longer than I would have liked. Thank you for watching!
