Magnifique prestation!
après les confidences... let's always celebrate life every day... must be light... everything is perfect as it is... right here... right now... like this... I am deeply grateful...
Another legendary trio from Canada beside Rush! I was there when they played in Jakarta, Indonesia, 1990! As a high school student, I went there with some friends, all the way from Surabaya, another metropolitan city of Indonesia about 900 km away from Jakarta. As a musician, and a jazz-rock vocalist myself, some of them were my fellow Down Beat the Band (I was their vocalist), of whom most of them changed name into DEWA 19, later a very famous alternative pop rock band in Indonesia and the neighboring countries. Back then, UZEB was so popular among the fusion, jazz rock enthusiasts. They taught us how to play music. A very big inspiration! We idolize them, and Casiopea, Mezzofeorte, Yellow Jackets, Spyrogyra, Path Metheny-Lyle Mays and their bands, all of The GRP world-class musicians, Chick Corea Electric Band & Acoustic Band, Jean-luc Ponti, Stephane Grapelli, Return To Forever, Weather Report, and so on. Uzeb played at the Ancol bay area. Open-air. Night time. A very big crowd came! We saw top jazz musicians of Indonesia within the crowd. No chairs. All didn't mind. And what a night!? We were so amazed by their musical techniques, their MIDI gears, the compositions. Oh wow?! Just: wow!
Myself, some other musicians and enthusiasts were invited to see a Roland product demonstration in Vancouver of the new then gr707 guitar synth with all Roland equipment. The demo was done/preformed by Michel Cusson (on the gr707) and Ike Ueno (doing drums and other stuff on his keyboard) ! This was in the early 80s I believe? The performance blew me away, it was in a small theatre with not a lot of audience. This is one of the main influences for me to pursue music to this day! Unforgettable! :)
I had the misfortune of playing a drumming gig following an artist Paul Brochu was playing for (not UZEB). Met Paul, great guy, but anything I managed to do onstage was a mere shadow of the expression and skill he possessed. Truly a great drummer.
WOW a keyboard player?( i guess as your nick is JazzKeyboardist1) that doesnt know what a Roland MIDI guitar system (which of course could be fitted on a bass aswell) and MIDI trigger drumpads can do you must be the most stupid keyboard player ever.

Love these guys! Does anyone know what that white guitar is?
I had the misfortune of playing a drumming gig following an artist Paul Brochu was playing for (not UZEB). Met Paul, great guy, but anything I managed to do onstage was a mere shadow of the expression and skill he possessed.
Truly a great drummer.

Aujourd'hui encore, ça défonce tout!!
My God.

Deadly 👌
So the Bass plays Keys? Hadn't see that yet!
I've noticed that they all use Canadian instruments... Fbass bass, Fbass elec guitar and Godin acoustic guitar, but drum is Yamaha.
They have used F instruments since the 80s. Good relationship with GF, and close to where they are from (Quebec)
1:12 what is the song name?
Does anyone know what kind of pedal Alain is using to get that flute sound?
He uses a Roland VB-99 Midi setup.
The best thing about a trumpet playing here?// Hello? Does anybody get it? Trumpets are almost always pure music not distortion?/
What kind of effect bass player uses from 4:50? Something midi..?
Yes. A Roland VB-99 and a GK3-B midi pickup installed on that bass.
masters
Molto bravi
Fretlesd MIDI bass?? I thought this is not possible...

Is Alain using the double thumb technique here???

amazing✨
His name is Alain Caron.
Michel Cusson looks a little bit like a sylvester stallone who would have focused on guitar rather than bodybuilding lol
I was in a band with two Italian brothers, we called ourselves Little Bro and the guitarist is the spit of Michel and with similar talent
