- Slovakia’s PM Robert Fico is recovering in the hospital after being hit by four bullets on May 15. As Fico remains in a stable but critical condition there is speculation in the Slovak media about a potential Ukrainian connection to the alleged assassin. Slovakian media outlets are speculating whether the country with the most reason to be angry at Fico might be involved. Fico was elected on a promise to end his country’s aid to Ukraine, a campaign promise he fulfilled once he was elected.
