I’m that one person, lost my husband to cancer, I had stopped baking unless my children were coming to visit due to having to prepare such large batches. I made myself your your texas cake for 2 and ate it myself😂. Thank you for the smaller sizes that I can keep baking!

Aloha, I am that one person also. My sweetie passed to the other side 15 months ago. Still trying to cook meals for one.
I can’t believe today at the market, I bought ONE potato.
I almost bought a 5 pound bag as usual in the past, but then I know I would be forced to eat that much or cook and be giving the extras away.
Thank you Mrs. brown for these smaller sized recipes that make it feel okay to “cook” for myself and not just throw something together and make-do. I really appreciate it. ♥️

I’m a widow of five years now, and I admit my cooking has become sparse and boring; my baking pretty much non existent. Thank you Miss Lori for showing me I can still have good meals, and the baked goods I’ve been missing. Cooking for two is perfect. I can have two tasty meals in a row and only cook once. That’s a treat in and of itself. Thank you again.

YAY Ms Lori! Bring those small batch recipes ON!!! So MUCH appreciated! Full freezer, yes Ma'am!
NOW I know what bird I've been hearing outside my home in St Tammany Parish, Louisiana! And that call is pretty close to the house & pretty loud! It's the Whippoorwill! I would not have known how to research the song he's singing! It's getting dark now. I think I'll go sit outside & listen for more Whippoorwills! Thank You Mr & Mrs Brown!

Whippoorwill brings back memories of when I was a child. We used to sit outside and listen to the Whippoorwill. And we went camping a lot and it would be whippoorwills and crickets every night pretty much. Those were fun days. You don’t ever hear that in the city. ❤

Thanks for the recipes for two! My husband and I don’t need the big batches I usually make. I made some cinnamon rolls a few days ago and ended up giving half of the batch away so they wouldn’t get stale.
You either have a wonderful place to grow a garden or you have an amazing green thumb! Everything is so picture perfect. Here in SW Idaho we have had so much cold and strong wind, I haven’t even got my cool weather veggies in. We are a month behind. All my apricots got froze last week. Now it’s supposed to be 89* in a couple days, crazy! I don’t know whether to plant out my broccoli and lettuce and spinach or not.
That was smart of Mr Brown to take the mullein and walk, I’m impressed. He’s right, those hospitals are dangerous anymore. I have heart and lung damage from the big C, so I have started walking myself. Thanks for the whippoorwill calls, I had never heard one before.

I am sitting on my front porch after planting our garden today. I’m listening to the birds also. We have woods all behind our house so I understand about critters. Headed inside to clean up and get ready for bed. This was such a pleasure and a wonderful way to end my day touring your potager garden. It is beautiful. God bless you sweet online friend. 👩‍🌾💚🌽🌺🍓🥬💚

Thank you so much for sharing. I haven’t heard one in many, many years. ♥️ Yes…the song by Hank Williams was, “I’m so lonesome I could cry.” My daddy was a huge Hank Williams fan. I have it buried somewhere, if my daughter didn’t get rid of it. She loves to come “organize” my things and is always pitching stuff she thinks I don’t need. Somethings can go, but I go through the bags and take out the things Instill want. I just love getting to see your gardens. We don’t have Whippoorwills here in Houston. I love to hear the sounds when the sun starts to set. Very peaceful. I would love to see how to make rosewater. It’s always hard for me to throw spent rose buds out. ❤️

Thank you Ms. Lorie I absolutely love spending time with you in your kitchen and seeing your kitchen garden. Your garden is beautiful and I would love to watch a video on how to make rose water. I think folk lore can be pretty funny but I can imagine how fun it must be to hear them. I’m in southern Ontario and have been up north in Ontario and I’m sure I’ve heard whipporwillow’s before. Pretty awesome!!❤️🥰🙏🏻🇨🇦

I love this recipe for two! I love making fresh bread but hardly ever do it as it’s too much for two. I have my Mom’s recipe and it was for a family of 7! Thanks for sharing your Whippoorwill’s with us. No Whippoorwills in Alaska but we have Loons. They also have a beautiful sound!

Thank you for the "for 2" recipe! More of the same please! It's so difficult for me to cut things down for just the 2 of us without having leftovers for days!

What a beautiful video! I so enjoyed seeing how your garden is doing so well. Everything is beautiful. Your flowers with all the varieties and colors as well as your vegetables! Everything is doing well, and begging for space to climb higher!
Less I not forget your 4 beautiful hot rolls. I imagine them making even the simplest dinner extra special!
I could enjoy a nice warm roll with honey and butter for my desert.
Thank you for making Friday evening special!

Thanks for another awesome treat podcast, Ms. Lori! Just what I needed to decompress with, along my knitting!
What a beautiful Whippoorwill sound! Ain’t that awesome that you are able to discern the sounds of various birds! I wish I live in your neck of the woods! I finally understand the meaning of the name of your podcast, upon you explaining the awesome sounds that Whippoorwill makes! For years, I could not understand what your podcast’s name meant! 🫢
I would love the quiet of your sanctuary! Little or no exhaust from vast amounts of cars and trucks zooming by, no adults on big bicycles, e-bikes, and scooters speeding by on the sidewalks, no sirens, ambulances, and fire trucks honking by. I can’t wait to relocate in a heart beat! Is bad enough that there are constant random, unprovoked attacks on the trains and buses, now we elderly people with feet or knee issues can’t walk on the sidewalks to buy our groceries without the risks of being run over! Those two or four wheel bikes or scooters belong on the streets, not running people down on the sidewalks! The police are not patrolling nor enforcing. Lawlessness in New York City, a very bad reality of the aftermath of the pandemic!
I try to grow what I can grow organically so that I don’t have to go out to buy and get run over. However, I unfortunately have very little space to do so!
Thank you for sharing and being my knitting company! Please, if it is feasible/possible, can you do an episode on Mullein and various tinctures. I am fascinated and not familiar with these wonderful home remedies! Wishing you an amazing, memorable upcoming Mother’s Day! ❤️❤️

Adorable apron with the farm animals.
Thanks for sharing recipes for 2. Often it’s for one unless my granddaughter is here. My wonderful husband has been gone now 6 years. Take care. Pretty garden.
