Army Reserves enhance combat warfighting skills

Exercise RHODEN STRIKE 2023 is the combined combat arms team training exercise, conducted at the Puckapunyal Military Area in March 2023. It is the culmination of a series of combat arms courses delivered by Melbourne University Regiment (8th Brigade).
It featured the establishment of observation posts and reconnaissance patrols in support of a dawn raid on an enemy position with trainees fulfilling all appointments. Trainees demonstrated their newly acquired skills in a challenging combined arms training activity preparing them to integrate into their Australian Army Reserve regiments or battalions.
Ex RHODEN STRIKE provides important warfighting experience required by combined arms teams and enables trainees to operate in a realistic combat environment, drawing together individual and collective training experiences.
