Phenomenology, starting from the horizon of co-given objects present in the periphery of every experience, defines the world as the biggest horizon or the "horizon of all horizons". In philosophy of mind, the world is commonly contrasted with the mind as that which is represented by the mind. Theology conceptualizes the world in relation to God, for example, as God's creation, as identical to God or as the two being interdependent. In religions, there is often a tendency to downgrade the material or sensory world in favor of a spiritual world to be sought through religious practice. A comprehensive representation of the world and our place in it, as is commonly found in religions, is known as a worldview. Cosmogony is the field that studies the origin or creation of the world while eschatology refers to the science or doctrine of the last things or of the end of the world.
In various contexts, the term "world" takes a more restricted meaning associated, for example, with the Earth and all life on it, with humanity as a whole or with an international or intercontinental scope. In this sense, world history refers to the history of humanity as a whole or world politics is the discipline of political science studying issues that transcend nations and continents. Other examples include terms such as "world religion", "world language", "world government", "world war", "world population", "world economy" or "world championship".

ब्रह्मांड एक शाश्वत अनंत है इस संसार में ऐसे न जाने कितने सारे ब्रह्मांड हो सकते हैं इस बात का उल्लेख श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता में भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने किया है कि जब राज्य सूर्य यज्ञ युधिष्ठिर के द्वारा किया जा रहा था तब उसमें ब्रह्मा जी को भी उपस्थित होने का आदेश भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने दिया लेकिन ब्रह्मा जी को यह अहंकार हो गया कि वह इस ब्रह्मांड के रचीयता है इसलिए वे नहीं आए तब भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने एक नहीं लाखों-करोड़ों ब्रह्मा को वहां उपस्थित कर दिया जोकि एक एक ब्रह्मांड का प्रतिनिधित्व करते थे जिसे यह साबित होता है कि इस ब्रह्मांड में एक ब्रह्मांड नहीं अपितु अनंत ब्रह्मांड है
क्योंकि हम फिजिक्स के नजरिए से इस ब्रह्मांड को देख रहे हैं तो इसके लिए हमें इसे मैथमेटिक तरीके से समझना होगा इसके लिए यह जरूरी होगा कि वह फिजिक्स के नियमों का पालन करें और यह साबित करें कि वास्तव में ब्रह्मांड एक कोरी कल्पना नहीं अपितु शाश्वत सत्य है जो पूरी तरीके से मैथमेटिकल और फिजिकल नियमों के अनुसार बंधा हुआ है
