I don't get why we can’t swipe left or right now. I used to change watch faces easily but now swiping left or right doesnt do anything at all, making no sense wasting two useable gestures for anything. A step backwards for usability.

It seems Apple want to show how clever their programmers/engineers are, rather than ask the customer what features they would like untouched, and which they would like added. As an 84 year old man, I need help sometimes with new upgrades. I have looked at scores of videos about IOS 10, but yours showed me where to find the features and how to use them. I loved the ability to click the side button to switch between my run tracker app and the music app. Now this option is no longer available. Epic fail in my opinion.
Totally agree. I’ve never seen an update that is so blatantly and obviously a downgrade. I have used the Control Panel about 5 times in the nine months I’ve had my watch. I used the side button to get to my favorite apps about 4-5 times a day. So annoying. Did they ask a single actual user for feedback?
@@jc2867u need a lot more force for that, i went for a run and it’s a lot harder to do. i never had issues with the control center idk why it needed to move, hope they make it an option on a future update
Agreed. And the double press of the crown is not the same thing, that just goes to the card view of recent apps. And the loss of favorites in Timers stinks too.
I’m a huge peanuts fan. I almost want an Apple Watch for that complication alone. I hope Apple’s partnership with Peanuts lasts and it doesn’t just disappear one day. In fact, I hope it’s one of those things where they continue to add animations to the Snoopy complication with each new WatchOS update.
Removal of grid view and the very unapple control center that adds an extra step lead to this being the first apple device I’ve ever refused to update. Neither of those is even necessary, crown brings up widgets anyway.
Update the apple Watch Ultima -1 to Watch OS 10 with phone IOS 17 was bumpy. I had to reboot the watch 2 times before the Watch 10 software would install on the watch....

I dont like control center is the side button. I dont need widgets on the watch. This will be my last apple watch, due to this update. The functionality it desperately needed is the apps and how to view them. The screen being able to customize it more. The battery life. Fixing the big keyboard to respond to text messages. The ability to let you play music from the speaker. Better sleep tracking. This will be last apple watch, I honestly am so tempted to sell my series 8 for what the buyout price is on my device just to get a fitbit, or fossil watch. Im so over this bullcrap $500 device. I want it for Health, not another phone. There trying to turn into a phone and its super annoying there not focusing on the things people ask for.

Grid view is mostly still there, as is the app switcher. I do kind of miss the swiping to change watch faces but my son ALWAYS would change my faces while I held him so maybe a good thing

You can still swipe to change the watch faces. Just press on your current watch face and hold until it puts you in edit mode. Then start swiping away until you find your preferred saved favorite.
i don't like this dam update i'm used to swipe up for the control center now i gotta push a button and i hate those smart stacks on my watch why they just can't leave things as options
Please someone tell me how to get my timers back on watchOS 10? The timer app changed to just a stopwatch app. I've tried everything I could think of on my watch and phone app to find them. So far, this watchOS 10 update is horrible for the apps I use. Can't stand the way they change the fitness rings either.
In the icon view of all apps you can move your favorites toward the top so they're easier to find from that view. The list view currently doesn't allow rearranging the apps. The other way is to double-click the crown to see your most recently used apps, which will probably contain your favorites, and they're shown in a list/card view. To remove them from that view, swipe left and select the "X" to delete them from the recently used list.
I dislake the updated wind section of the weather. I can't figure out wind direction with update. I want wind to just say eg 10mph NNw. I miss setting favorite timers in the timer app. Also finding it difficult to play my playlist for my watch without having several hoops to jump on my phone🤨
Nice update but when I use clockology faces in the top corner of the clockology face I always have the digital clock. How can I delete it. My iwatch is a series 6.
watchOS 10 has made the heart rate complication completely useless. Now it only updates when you actually tap on it to go to the app. If you don't it says: 74 bpm, 27 minutes ago! :(
How can I make it brighter in dark environment? Hard to see it in dark due to auto ambient light sensor makes the screen dimmer. I’m thinking about returning the watch, I can’t use it in dark.
Hey Friend, you need to give it some time. With all new updates there is a lot of background processing going on as it analyzes data and new features get set up. Give it about a week and see how it is doing.

not going to lie watch os 9 was better because it was easier to use and do stuff for e.g the app navigation the blob or so called honeycomb was really easy and good to find apps for e.g. finding settings u'd have to scroll down for the new update and the old jus use ur finger. I am very dissatisfied with this update as if when i finished updating it the ui to go to the apps was ok but not that good. Now i am really satisfied because i organized the apps which is for daily use so its helpful if you have 5 to 10minutes to set it up like me. Its really good if you can get used to it but when you download the update its disorganized, it should organise from most used to least used which is helpful but if you want to keep the update and like the features but not the app navigation I'd recommend to spend 5 to 10mins to organize it. Its helpful and doesn't annoy or give you ocd.... Well Very Satisfying after wasting some time
Can I ask how do I set up the illicit photo for minors alert?? Is it automatic if my child is in my family on my phone as a minor?? My son has an Apple Watch SE and while right now I’m not worried about him sending illicit photos or receiving them he’s a bit young he’s 8. I use the watch to track him and send him a message if I’m gonna be late to pick him up from school ect. Honestly the best thing I ever bought for piece of mind. 😂😂 but obviously with getting a young kid technology comes the worry of things you can’t see that they’re doing or saying.😅😂I’d love to be able to set that up just so I know no creep is trying to send my child well creepy things

And from what I saw in the video, it’s got a few good ideas but I really don’t like that nearly 1/4 of the screen at the top was taken up for the time/back button.

Apple ruined the Apple Watch with OS 10. It is absolute garbage. The new iPhone 15 and 15 pro is also garbage. Apple lost its innovative touch when Tim Cook took over

Apple added a new feature on the Fitness rings. There wasn’t anything in your video regarding this. Has to do with pausing your workout. I don’t see it there anymore and wondered what the differences were. Good video by the way, learned a lot.

try double clicking the dial to switch back and forth! hope that helps

I like the new Modular Ultra watch face but I think it should have Analog options for the time as well as digital choices.

I think they found out that people generally find a favorite watch face and stick with that.

Ask Siri for as many timers as you want. "Hey Siri" "New Timer" Works for me. Found this by experimenting, me myself. Out.

Watch OS 10 is a battery destroyer for my Series 7. My advise is DO NOT UPDATE to OS 10 if you have a Series 7 watch!
