Absolute coincidence: Pewtered Pine is my favourite Phytosurgence eyeshadow! I wear it all the time for a cool grey smokey eye. I even wore it out last night! I had been waiting for your report back on the Pat McGrath dupe because I've never owned any of her palettes, but the Subliminal palette has always been the one that I find the most alluring. It turned out that I had and loved the eyeshadow all along!
This was such a fascinating video to me. I love more than one color in that palette; in fact, Sublime and Mothership X are my favorites because they are cool toned and I usually use them together. But if I did only love one shade, I would remove it and keep it! And replace it with another shadow that is similar-ish and give it to a co-worker or friend, with full disclosure. My guess is they’ll appreciate it a lot even with one different shade in it! I have several of the “dupes” you tried and enjoy them all - the Hourglass, the Joocey, and The Phytosurgence Pewtered Pine!
The Phytosurgence eyeshadows have almost completely replaced my powder shadow palettes and singles. Chilled Cherry and Pewtered Pine are two of my favorites.
okay what's funny is I remember you first saying you were looking for a dupe and i own this palette and pewtered pine and immediately thought of it and then meant to swatch both to check and never remembered lol
Never saw it in real life but what i use when i want a colour similar to the swatch, i use mr sandman by colourpop! Its soft, sparkly, grey with a cool mauve-y purple undertone. A rare spicy neutral with a wink!
This is my favorite Mothership, too. This video is such a great idea and so helpful. I was tempted by the Bobbi Brown stick, but you’ve saved me some money.
Did anyone else see this thumbnail and immediately mentally respond with "YES YOU CAN" in the cadence of that A Tribe Called Quest song...or just me? 😂
thanks for the vid! i have mothership I and i DO love it, but i've had it for a while now and its just too expensive to repurchase (in aud its over $200...) and i LOVE the neutrals in this palette but its SO easy to find replacement for the neutrals, haha. i like the blue and yellow in the palette well enough but yeah its really that smokey lilac that i think really makes it a standout.
Ulta just re-released their in house line and their single in Mr. Wrong is very close to that Lilac Dusk from Pat McGrath. I literally just compared it side by side and they have the same sheen but like Bobbi Brown and Hourglass is slightly more brown than purple. Same kind of coolness just not as purple. The closest color dead on is the Revlon Colors Colorstay in Expresso but Expresso isn't as shiny so I'm hoping that if I tap Mr. Wrong over Expresso that I will get that perfect lighter minky color that I am looking for. Could you please fo a recommendation list of things that you recommend from Phytosurgence and Rituel de Fille?
I love the Ritual de Fille one! I'm guessing you looked at the Missha single shadows and the Canmake city lights shadows? (the latter might again be more of a wash). Incredible match! Such a stunning colour
Tom have you tried NEEN? I grabbed a few items and have been quite pleased with the packaging and products themselves. I got their metro eyeshadow and it looks similar to what you’re looking for here too!
I’ve not tried NEEN, I only heard of them for the first time on LMB’s channel. I think what they’re doing is cool but I think the packaging would be a deterrent for me! But maybe if something really strikes my fancy I’ll give it a go.
Great video! I have a personal favorite to ask you. I know you have the Givenchy Prisme Libre Powder and we all know it’s been reformulated. Sooo. I was wondering how you would say it compared to the Suqqu powder you tested?!? I have plenty of the Givenchy. But I want to have an idea of what to replace it with when the time comes. I’ve also always wanted to try a lavender powder.
I think that the Suqqu one would probably be better just suited for the under eyes than all over unless you’re very fair. I do think the slight lavender blue hue to the Suqqu powder makes it more brightening. But I feel like it gives a very similar finish to the OG givenchy powder.
I wonder how close the Rabanne Colorshot in Lavender Sky is? Based on the formula of the shade I have (Moon Child) I think it would be a sheerer version but I don't have it to compare directly lol.

Yeah you don’t need the palette!!
Duping your faves: a science, a labor of love! 💜

Oooh Pewtered Pine and Chilled Cherry have my whole heart. It's a rare makeup day that I'm not using one or the other 💜
They are so stunning!
Ooooooooh Chilled Cherry though 😮😮😮😮😮😮
I'm so glad you found a dupe! It will feel so nice to move that PMG palette along.
Chilled cherry is so gorgeous
Chilled Cherry stopped me in my tracks. That is gorgeous.
ITS HERREEEEEE!!!!!!!💜💜💜💜💜💜
Looking forward to seeing you pull together a look with chilled cherry in the future!
I love Lilac Dusk as well and end up using it almost everytime I pull out Mothership I. Great find!

😂😂
Loved this video! And the comparison between the two 😮 but I love all the other shades in the mothership too!❤

Woohoo! I remember the video you mentioned that you wanted to find a dupe of Lilac Dusk! I am so glad you found one! yay you!
😇
The way I have been WAITING for this one!!
Clicked so fast! I ADORE this shade 😻😻😻

I answered in the cadence of "Rock DJ (time to move your body)" from Robbie Williams 😂 🎶can I kick it? ...YES YOU CAN🎶 feeling old now
😂😂😂😂😂
Can i -kick it- dupe it ?
Yes, you can ! 😂
New personal project: search for a dupe to that gorgeous eye shadow in my collection. Thanks for the inspo!
I am thrilled that they have discovered so many beautiful things during this pilgrimage
I'll bet some of these would layer to something some amazing sparkling lilac smoke!
I no longer have that Pat palette but I love the Prada #2 Profusion palette middle shade called Prime!

Tracy’s Powder Room shade came to mind called Lost Lavender I wonder how it compares!
♡KVD glitter stick is so good n I'd love to know what you think of it♡
For anyone wanting a drugstore dupe, try the purple shade in the Revlon So Fierce Prismatic Quad. It looks almost identical to me!

The blushes from Phytosurgence are fantastic. I like both blush formulas from rituel de fille, the cream highlighter, and lip veil
Gorgeous!
I love the Ritual de Fille one! I'm guessing you looked at the Missha single shadows and the Canmake city lights shadows? (the latter might again be more of a wash). Incredible match! Such a stunning colour
I’m not sure what other Asian beauty brands I looked through. I get very overwhelmed on yesstyle and stylevana lol

I was thinking of the Victoria Beckham shroom eyeshadow stick might be similar as well?
Well my hunt is over! I’m very happy with pewtered pine! I did think Mushroom looked really pretty tho!

Someone else will have to check for us, the bus stops with me and Pewtered pine on this channel. lol
at first glance I thought to myself Inglot 420 pearl. But I don't think the finish is quiet right.
Omg first?!! ❤
Very mindful! 🤌😀 on a side note, that is the only pmg palette that I have consistently considered purchasing even though I certainly do not need it!
😍😍
