I mostly take this chance to correct and improve my pronunciation. For myself, it's not homework but a real pleasure. It is ! I'm not kidding ! (a new one for me, I only knew I'm joking). Let me explain ! I have been no more travelling for a year and a half. So your videos are a pleasant way to escape, something like a breath of air !!! Thank you again.
English speaker here, at 08.45 the contraction “we’d” is not “we should” but “we had”. We’d is never really we should, only we had (or sometimes, but not in this example, we would). The phrase “we should better hurry up” would make no grammatical sense to a native speaker (although they would work out what you meant!). In case you’re confused, in this instance, “we had better hurry up” is not “had” in the past tense, but is a rare example of the subjunctive mood in English (the jussive subjunctive here to be precise). Another example of the subjunctive which looks like the past tense (since they have similar forms) is “If he were to play piano, he would be an excellent musician.” The were here is subjunctive. But great videos and keep up the good work! C’est tres bon! 😊
Also 27.05 - you can say “time” or “the time” here, they’d both be correct 😊😊 They would have slightly different registers though, as “the time” is slightly more formal. If you were telling your boss firmly but politely you didn’t have time to do something, you might say “I don’t have the time to look into the report by tonight I’m afraid”, rather than “I don’t have time to look into …” (the latter feels a bit stroppier!)

J'ai imprimé les slides et me suis rendu compte, alors que je faisais des phrases une lecture à voix haute, que les transcriptions phonétiques étaient gênantes pour la fluidité. Penses-tu qu'il serait possible, à l'occasion d'un autre exercice de ce genre, de les écrire en fin de phrase ( ou en dessous mais ça prendrait de la place...). De toute façon on voit quand-même à quel mot ça se rapporte... Last but not least : À part ça - and it gets better saying it - cette vidéo est assez géniale ! 210911
