I am eighty six years old,I am living in an assisted living facility. I have never felt more discouraged, lonely, horrible arthritic pain , need almost99% care. Your message today is giving me encouragement. I have no idea why I am still alive. I remember the phrase…when all else fails, trust in God. Please pray for me!!!🙏
God has a purpose and here I am to tell you to repent and accept only Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Believe in what He died in the cross for our sins and on the 3rd day He rose from the dead and now is seated at the right hand of God.

Not gonna lie fellas, the first half of Bishop Barron's sermon reminds me of something.
Old Testament Biblical Hero Formula: Hero's comfort is taken away -> God invites Hero to go outside of his comfort zone -> Hero fulfills God's will.
My mom: My comfort is taken away -> I am nagged into doing chores -> I fulfill my mom's will.

Truly, this has been a wonderful sermon.
A very difficult lesson to learn, but it is so very true. Almost always to get rest, I turn inwards. But when I actually listen to people with needs, and turn towards them, I find a wonderful peace welling up in my heart. Too often I’ve spent working on loving myself, and learning over and over, I can’t. Seems that in my desert times, I slake my own thirst in being present to others in deep need.
Perhaps we should give this message to the people of China, who are being told to hoard their food and supplies.

My coworkers and myself are going through a drought right now,our company closed without notice.I pray Lord we all find gainful employment soon.I miss the people I worked with.I hand it all over to you Lord.Amen.
God bless you. I had somewhat of the same experience. A few years back, our company closed down. Some of us were wondering how we could find a job with good benefits and pay like the one we had? But a door opened, and so the pieces of the puzzle were gradually put back together. Good luck to you. With God's grace believe in yourself and remember what Bishop Barron spoke about trusting in God and watching for the people he sends your way to help. You will not be disappointed.

Hi. I'm a grad student from Brazil. This video has helped me countless times throughout the months. Most recently, I've been dealing with a heartbreak due to "the one" ending things rather suddenly. Anyway, it's comforting to think God might have a greater purpose for my life and also hers. A big part of the pain comes from the realisation that I haven't been a good judge of character, and so unpleasant things keep happening. God help us all and save us from our ignorance.
Love to watch your videos before heading off to mass. I like the somewhat different and often deeper perspective.

A few hundred people turned up in Dallas expecting that JFK jr would come back from the dead a couple of days ago. If 60, 000 had turned up would that have made it more likely to happen?
Is Noah's flood true because the Bible says so or a made-up story because we have the Geology, Physics, zoology, Genetics, Chemistry, and history that all show it was just a story that did not happen?
A story is a story unless you can show it is true. If we just accept stories as true because we want them to be then we are set up to be conned all our lives. Evidence that any of the Bishop's stories is true is what I am asking for.

He forgot to include the phrase "... that are indistinguishable from random chance ...".
Also the use of the word "mysterious" makes a mockery of 1 Corinthians 14:33.

Today 6/21/24, I asked my guardian angel to help me show me the message God wants me to know by typing in “catholic sermon” on UA-cam. I told my guardian angel to let the message be the first result for catholic sermons on UA-cam. This was he result. Thank you Lord Jesus.
I am amazed at the few who rate these spectacular sermons as "thumbs down". Regardless of one's race, creed, color, religion, etc. I cannot understand how Bishop's messages can be received as anything but highly educational and uplifting. We should all raise these troubled, misdirected or lost souls in prayer in hopes that they will see clearly in the future. Thank you Bishop Barron for yet another tremendously edifying and inspirational sermon. I eagerly await next Sunday's installment!

I haven't rated down the Bishop's video and I don't know if my impression of it is in the least bit representative of those that did, but I can't say I find it uplifting. I am just bemused by the way in which it is accepted or recounted as true when tales or examples of it are selectively chosen from a wealth of other cases where it would seem not to be. Not that I would deny the potential value of sharing with others in times of need (or plenty for that matter), but a tenfold, hundredfold material or spiritual return associated with a god is too mysterious a claim for me to accept on trust or say so.
Thumbs down because people see good words and good sermons and no help at parish level or study group level.

And so, my tortuously slow Damascene conversion continues. I'm not quite there, yet. But BB's sermons help a lot.
If your conversion seems slow, it may be better to think of it as a 'road to Emmaus' thing rather than a 'road to Damascus' thing. It's all in Luke 24, and has helped me a lot in my own journey.

I can’t do much for you (in comparison to Bishop Barren knowledge regarding the scriptures), but I can recommend reading Mere Christianity when you get the time (I recall BB praising that book in another video). That one helped me understand the finer details of the Christian life. Other than that, I can promise to pray that God makes your road to Him clear; God be with you.

I have no idea what God wants me to do or what his project is. Praying my whole life and I don’t hear a thing. I had a miserable career, family members afflicted with disease, and unending disasters. Hasn’t sent me anyone. I keep hearing about all these miracles. I have never seen one. I don’t know anyone who has seen one. I don’t know anyone who knows anyone whose seen one.

I Trust in the Lord that you and the USCCB will actually do what God assigned you to do which is to condemn the homosexuality plaguing the hierarchy, that you and USCCB will speak out against Contraception, that you and the USCCB will stand up against abortion and abortion loving politicians who still receive communion that you and the USCCB will actually uphold the teachings of the Church. I trust in the Lord that all will be brought to justice and I know that the gates of hell shall not prevail.

Needed this. I am epileptic and suffered a seizure this morning. On top of that i have been unemployed for 7 months struggling to find work i can live on. In that time, i started going to Mass and converted to Catholism. I have met good people and a friend who i now live with. I do wish that i knew God's plan for me. Wish that i could get a job and not be so reliant on others. Many people have and are praying for me about the job and nothing. I just don't understand it.
I have a son going through the same issues as far as work and also with a more minor medical issue. Just know that you can make it through keep pushing never give up hope, trust in Christ seek his will. As an aside I am reading a tremendous book called “He Leadeth Me “ I recommend you read it’s inspiring and can help make you find purpose during these tough times your going through. God bless you and all in similar situations.

The prophet Elijah has always been a father and mentor to me in terms of trust and complete surrender to God. In these trying moments of my life when all doors are close one after the other, sources are drying up... and finally, I've hit the wall! And I told God, " Are you joking me?" Haha.

Amen. The law of the gift is the way of the saints. The measure of charity is charity without measure, St. Benedict wrote.
We thanks God that this great lesson you taught us today in this great story of old testament in your homily your being increases in the measure as you give away which St John Paul called it as you said the gift of law.This law applies very much in our time of scarcity in particular today's context.
Once agine I thank your Lordship as psalm said my mouth shall speak words of wisdom which you teach us in every homily you make.

Sorry, but God does abandon and reject people even though He may always be there with you does not mean He will help you. Look at Saul, Samson, even Moses for all he did for the Hebrews and the Exodus, Moses made one small mistake of striking a rock instead of speaking to a rock to bring out water and God gave him the ultimate punishment and forbid him from entering the Promised Land even after everything Moses did for God and the Hebrews - that's not a "Loving or Merciful or Forgiving Grace Giving God" in my book.
