    2012 update.
I got this film from a friend a couple of years ago,
It was on a VHS video tape, I cleaned it up and added some color grading.
The original was shot on 16 mm film.
I think its a wonderful dance of Suzuki-sensei and Frank Pichard.
Swiss television recently put the original film online with an interview with the director:

If you read french, Christina Chapallaz gives the text connected to the report:

On Hartman-sensei's site I found that Suzuki-sensei studied under Awa-sensei so the "zen" that Innerprince put in there is not totally without basis.
    "Suzuki Hiroyuki
Born in 1901, died in 1984, age 83. Hanshi 10th dan. Studied kyudo under Awa Kenzo Hanshi and Chiba Tanetsugu Hanshi."
What I like best is the markings on the floor, so many people stood there before him.
It's almost fifty years ago, I wonder if the dojo is still there and I hope they did not change the floor!

Still coming back to this video a decade later, such a powerful moment of cinema.

I think he is Suzuki hiroyuki hanshi(鈴木弘之範士,1900-1984)
He blonged to Ogasawara-ryu, so his kake is Moro-gake(five-fingered glove).

    貴重な動画ですね。昨今はゆっくりを丁寧と勘違いされる向もあるように思いますが、洗練された小気味好いテンポに嘆息するばかりです。
    道場は済寧館なのでしょうか?
