I would appreciate more videos like this on how to style your suit more casual. As a younger man, 36, who loves wearing suits I kinda wanna go more casual then formal so thumbs up!
it depends on the shade. the shade he shows here is optimal as it's gray-brown versus say chocolate or dark brown, which would be hard for most people to wear and accessorize. Though I find a brown pin stripe in any shade to be versatile as you look less like you are trying to be a UPS executive with the pinstripes.
Look no. 3 for me. I always love some good layering and brown and burgundy were made for each other! I eventually need to add brown to my suit lineup. You're right about the richness of the color. It adds a warmth that navy and grey don't inherently have.
He Spoke Style I wanted to participate in your upcoming video of followers outfits .I’ve sent you some pictures on instagram (my username is : jaffarhayder) .
This gave me the push I needed to pick up a pair of brown chinos. Brown is a color I’ve avoided in clothing except for leather items. Can’t wait til they get here.

Excellent video, I noticed the A-E shoes and would like to suggest you take a look at Carmina shoes, one step up from the A-E's and not much of a price increase. Thanks for reviewing brown, one of my fav colors for winter.
You got it, John!. I actually have a pair of Carmina penny loafers. They're great. And I do believe they're a little less expensive than AEs though I haven't checked in a while.
I’m finding myself gravitating to more browns and tans lately so I definitely appreciate the video! Do you ever pair a brown suit with black shoes? I didn’t see that in your examples in this video.
Thank you for the video. What is your opinion on Suit Supply s shoes and sneakers ? I was actually looking for a new suit and brown might be a good choice :)
You're very welcome. To answer your question, no experience with the shoes--just sneakers. They're okay, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend. I bought this pair because the price seemed decent. The toe box wrinkled pretty quickly though. However, they've held up pretty decently and are easy to clean.

Love brown for suits and odd trousers - great idea for a video. Something about that suit doesn't look right to me though.. is that your normal cut? It looks perhaps too full in the arms or are the shoulders are a bit overly extended? Something just catches my eye... probably just me though.
Love all the outfits! I am a bit scared with the first outfit in combination with someone trying to hide the fact that they are turning grey. I think the Ice Blue might bring the grey out a bit too much, still reallly like it
Hi! Is there a rule how expose the collar of a button down shirt at the nape should be when under a coat or sports jacket? I noticed some sports jacket's collar are too low at the nape. Comment is highly appreciated
Not a solid rule, per se. It's kind of dependent on the individual. As a good guideline, some say that the amount of collar that shows should be consistent with the amount of cuff that shows.
Hey Brian I love the sleeveless cardigan, especially as a layering piece. It’s got that lovely v neck which gives space for the tie to stand out, and the fit is great for tailoring. Would you be interested in making a video about different styling options for cardigans? Which would be how you can wear them with anything from jeans to tailoring
When I wear Browns especially medium to dark brown I'd rather pair it with a rich Navy or deep burgundy colored sweaters or turtlenecks. There is something about the brown that I don't want to pair it with something that's lighter in color but with something that's deep and rich in tone. I seldom wear regular shirts with ties when wearing a suit.
