Ik kende hem natuurlijk al wel, maar toen ik dit zag begreep ik pas voor het eerst de filosofie, de visie achter zijn werk. Sindsdien ben ik een van zijn grootste fans.
Whoever subbed this was quite careless when translating "Appel" as "Apple" (the capital A notwithstanding). She is talking about a painting by the Dutch painter Karel Appel, not about an apple. The way it is subbed right now makes no sense at all. Also I doubt "junk food" accurately conveys the sense of "gevulde koeken en pennywafels", but I don't really know how better to translate that either, to be honest.
