- Directed by Alberto De Martino in 1965,This early spaghetti western features quite a lot of action and a confusing plot. Richard Harrison plays the leading role and despite the title song, he is never referred to as Ringo throughout the course of the movie. The redeeming feature is of course Bruno Nicolai's exhilarating music score and the powerful title song sung by Bobby Solo.

Bruno Nicolai had such a great touch. Morricone's scores were immeasurably lifted by his conducting.

I have recorded for myself 15 CD's, 70 minutes each, of the best of the Spaghetti Western music. Leaving out the suspense, saloon music & crap. It's the best, most entertaining music in the world. Morricone, DeMasi, & Nicolai are the best. But so is much of Gianni Ferrio, Stelvio Cipriani, & Robby Poitevin's music. Poitevin's ."32 Caliber Killer" is VG. There is still a lot of music out there the Italians have never released in CD's yet.

On closer listening this is not the same suite. I downloaded mine from my" Classic Italian Soundtracks...Spaghetti Westerns" collection.An excellent 7 disc set. Regards...Michael.
