@@gku93 I definitely see your point, however martial prowess is often secondary to influence and cunning when said disciplines are wielded like a knife in the dark. That's where Osiris's real strengths lie. Of course his story could go down a different path but its damn fun to speculate about. 🙂

I have two reads on Hideo's scare at the end of the card: 1) He's scared of what happens if Ikora discovers the plot before it is ready to be executed. 2) He's scared of what Lakshmi will do if Saint-14 rejects the plot. I am increasingly convinced the latter option is the real one.
@@the13inquisitor59 If Hideo and the other subversive elements of New Monarchy cannot be swayed from their course, well just have to install a new Executor and rebuild once they've been dealt with.
Okey so. Lakhsmi was so sure about that Osiris would prevent Saimt from telling their conversation to the Vanguard. There is something very suspicious here. both Osiris and Lakhsmi
Yeah, also thought about that, but Osiris' mention that he would report Lakshmi's behaviour to Ikora calmed me for a bit. Still, I don't fully trust Osiris right now.
Lakmsmi needs to be dropped. Yeah she was right about the red war, but now she's trying to be like the cabal and she's being an insurgent and trying to insist violence against allies and lawful leadership.
Now heres a fun thing. Lakshmi tells us that the vanguard tried to cover up savathuns involvement in it all. And that she may very well be walking among the fallen as we speak. Unless I'm missing something, she has no way to know this. Except osiris, who does know all this, telling her. Esspecially the savathun walking among us bit. There is a strong chance that ikora knows this. Osiris is either pulling off a masterclass in subterfuge with ikora. Or ikora is pulling off a masterclass of subterfuge on osiris and lakshmi. And possibly savathun.
He disagrees with some of their decisions. But he has faith in his protege and Osiris's. He seems to have... admitted he was wrong about the ceasefire. He's a soldier. They are his superiors and long time friends. He's loyal to them. Liking them is secondary.

That a faction that has the words war and cult and a faction that believes in a single unimpeachable monarch would be the last ones to cause harm to the city. What are they say to say now?
@@Scarecr0wn That is a shortsighted comparison. Humanity will always have an idiot mass, whether there's a Super-Cold or not. Hopefully only a majority in volume of sound... but again unfortunately... the squeaky wheel gets the grease. as they say.
They are coming closer The override and corrupted expunge mission Dialouges dispaly this. Mithrax has told saint stuff about the vex domain Mithrax and saint talking about fighting the vex side by side. Lakshmi will have a haaaaaaaaaaard time
If you read into Osiris's every word he has been planting lies and deceit everywhere. One easy example is when Lakshmi asked Saint for his support Saint said he would go and talk to Osiris. Well Lakshmi was so certain that Osiris would prevent Saint from snitching to Zavala, interesting🤔. Osiris mentions to Saint to let Lakshmi believe that he is considering it even though he is clearly against it, why? Next while Saint is talking to Osiris about the situation he basically tells him to brush it off and not worry about it. Another very important thing to note in their conversation is when Saint starts talking about a few changes that can be made to the city for the better Saint says."I have imagined a new Vangaurd, led by us." Osiris then tells him that he will be an adviser if he Saint were to become the new Vanguard Commander, Saint then brushes it off as only a fantasy. However if this conversation were to be recorded Saint's words can easily be taken the wrong way especially if parts were to be cut out of the conversation. Another thing to note is that Osiris mentions that Lakshmi will probably go ask Lord Saladin next even though he will probably reject. But at this point she had already asked Saladin and he rejected. Then Osiris tells us to keep this conversation a secret as if not wanting this to get out. Osiris then mentions that he is going to tell Ikora himself probably to keep suspicion off of himself. Lakshmi needs Guardian Support to go through with her coup, and she will get it in the form or Osirithun and also by twisting Saint's words from the conversation they had. I can probably list tons more as well. Any thoughts people?
It's obvious at this point that Osiris is Savathun. Either Lakshmi is corrupted by her or she is completely going batshit insane. All I know is: Savathun is in the city and Lakshmi is building a Vex portal and planning a coup against the Vanguard. On the upside: the endless night is gone and the people of the city are starting to get along with the Eliksni. Lakshmi must be stopped before she finishes her portal and trys anything against the Vanguard. And then, we go after Savathun.

We all knew that Saint would shut them down. We know Saint far more than the Coup does and we know full well he would never want to participate in a civil war.
@14:22 I’m still a fan of the idea of freeing Quria to fight together against Savathun, but I do realize Destiny has pretty bad-guy villains that you can’t really team up with, since they want to kill you too.
That would do more harm than good in the long run. Lakshmi's whole shtick is to essentially persuade the citizens of the City that the Vanguard are no different to the Warlords of the past, that we shouldn't trust Guardians to lead the City. Should we leave just to spite her, that just garners more support for her cause.
Two things : Osiris knew that Saint spoke to Lakshmi yet entertained the idea that they may approach Saladin,I think he knew that Saladin already said no to sow fear in Saint if he is to decline Secondly Lakshmi believes that if Ikora finds out they’re busted . If she’s left in the dark the coup can be planned and developed. However I believe Osiris aims to inform ikora regardless not to avoid a coup but to create even more distrust and infighting Summary : Osiris is looking even more sus by the day
1: Savathun has proven capable of possessing intermediaries and disguising herself within them in order to A) Keep herself away from potential enemies, and B) Trick them into thinking she was present, thereby deepening their ignorance. 2: Osiris is acting suspicious. Too suspicious. He’s been almost-subtly calling attention to himself for months now, starting with his insistence on keeping the Crown of Sorrows. He’s an almost-too-obvious candidate. Even Saint-14 has called it out. 3: Saint-14 is not the most intelligent guardian. He has a good heart and is powerful, but “pointed and cunning” have never been his adjectives. 4: Saint-14 is already a symbol of Guardian strength and fortitude, but now he is becoming a growing symbol of cooperation. A much-needed (but, until the last couple weeks, still-missing) link between the City and House Light. He’s become central to hopes for a deepening alliance and peace. If Savathun’s only disguise isn’t Osiris - if she’s managed to replace Saint-14 and compromise Osiris both - it would be a much, much more significant blow. Not just to the City and humanity as a whole, but to House Light, the Eliksni’s best chance at finding peace in this system.
I think it'll be less of a "If I can't have it" and more of a "Look at how unprepared the Vanguard were for a sudden attack within the City, while the FWC was completely and totally not suspiciously prepared to deal with such a threat" Lakshmi is already working on portal technology, and I think she's going to try to bring in a small contingent of Vex in order to undermine the Vanguard as a political move, but things are going to get out of hand (as they always do). And that is where the Eliksni of House of Light take up arms and stand shoulder to shoulder with us against the Vex. And that will be when Lakshmi finally faces the music. What's funny, is that I can imagine Lakshmi being like "Zavala made friends with the Cabal, and Ikora brought the Eliksni within the walls, I just wanted us to be friends with the Vex" to try to dodge that High Treason charge. But Lakshmi, if you hurt the Eliksni within our City again, I'll come knocking. And they'll use what's left of you to fix wristwatches.
When i entered the tower, i was in my autonomous "pick bounties mode", and didn't notice the balls until i exited zavala and saw someone jumping on one😂
Okay, what if, while the coup itself doesn't happen, the Vanguard change does. The current Vanguard kinda surrenders itself to avoid bloodshed, and a bit against their will, institute Saint 14 and Osiris as the new Vanguard. Again, to avoid trouble: even if you are against the idea of the Vanguard change, Saint and Osiris are legendary guardians, so I doubt anyone would have a problem with them being in charge, even if they preffer Ikora and Zavala. 2 things would happen with this: 1, gameplay wise: Saint and Osiris would take Zavala and Ikora's places respectivly at the tower, becoming the new Vanguard vendor and "whatever Ikora does at the tower" vendor. Zavala and Ikora could, instead, go to the Helm, become vendors there for seasonal activities. As for what would happen with the Trials Vendor...well, I'd say it's time for a 3rd bird themed NPC to watch over Trials: Crow. Osiris entrusts him with this task as a sign of respect, also prepping him for responsability if he becomes Hunter Vanguard. 2, story wise: I don't think Saint being Vanguard would really do much. BUT, Osiris as Vanguard? The most SUS dude since Sagira died as Vanguard? It could be really cool, if done well.
She tried taking advantage of 2 Titans (Saladin & Saint-14) and neither of them are interested in overthrowing the Vanguard. Call us Crayon eaters all you want, but us Titans are Loyal. We don't run away from duties. Unlike Hunters who still can't find a single asshole to fill the Vanguard position.
So she's basically saying that ikora and Zavala can't be trusted because they're letting the guardians wield the darkness yet she wants those same guardians to be on her side instead of the vanguards........🤔🤔🤔🤔
Imagine Lakshmi starting her shit Arach from the back coming to make her plot fall apart Would help him go popular But i dont know if hes that backstab kinda guy
Savathun: ha now the tower is being taken, enjoy the bli.......... *see’s guardians dancing ontop of the blights* Savathun: .......... *sighs* why do i even try anymore. Just once i’d like them to be scared or worried just ONE BLOODY TIME!
Given that we still have two weeks left, at least in terms of current pace, next week is likely going to be either a decoy, or a different mind that will lock Quria into a certain part of the network to deprive it of escape and/or reinforcements. It's not going to be the final showdown, but it will be what guarantees that next week is. Either that, or Quria IS next week's boss and the following week is when Lakshmi's "prophecy" "comes true".
I think there's something going on with executor hideo, in the 7th entry of beneath the endless night it talks about savathun and that her insides were twisting. In entry 8 executor hideos stomach was doing the same, it's a stretch but I don't think it was put there for no reason.
A definite stretch, what was described in that lore tab sounds much more like a man who is both nervous and afraid which is hardly surprising given the circumstances and content of the conversation they were having.
Im looking forward so see saint put down lakshmis attempts by force. He stands in front of them like " i will smask everyone of you with my helm individualy if you go on with that shit" I like this a lot
What if Lakshmi-2 gets the Light Inhibitiors the Conclave was using? In the Salvager's Salvo lore tab, Hakkë had the salvage from the Net Ghual used on the Traveler, and FWC was very interested in that technology. If Lakshmi-2 can't get any Guardian support, she'll try using those to her advantage.

I thought of something the other day. It would be so cool if the season ends with Eliksini with the "temporary" vangaurd cloak was found dead, but ends up being ressed by a ghost. That would definetly make a nice ending, and would make the citizens think more positive of the Eliksini
my personal thought on temporary is he did somehow escape and literally runs into Saint, who thankfully being very pro eliksni now, protects him from either a mob or brings him somewhere to get medical attention
My theory: earlier mithraax mentioned that Lakshmi is using some type of vex device that helps her see the future. With savathun having control over the vex domaine what if somehow she can control what Lakshmi sees? Even worse what if she’s taken control over Lakshmi…. Food for thought
What if the FWC were the ones that destroyed/disabled the satellites that were supposed to warn us of an invasion and she purposedly caused the Red War just out of her hunger for power and to make the Vanguard look bad? I've not played D2 during Y1 but I remember that no one on the Vanguard noticed that basically all of our satellites were gone... I mean, what's the point of having an orbital defense system if you won't even be able to notice if said defense is taken out? She could very well be the one that is going to cause the supposed "cataclysm" that she wants to blame the Eliksni for and if that's true, then maybe Lakshmi-2 and the FWC were the ones that caused the Red War in the first place. As I said I've not played D2 during Y1 so I don't know how Lakshmi-2 behaved during those times, but do you think that knowing how she is behaving right now, is there a chance she could've been the one that disabled the Last City's defenses so the Cabal could invade unnoticed just to use that as an opportunity to take power?
Also, heres a worrying theory: What if Lakshmi comes to the vanguard with their diposement with the one guardian that scares even veteran guardians? The zealot himself: Shin Malphur
@@Marceline-0522 Being immortal to age, he can come OUT of retirement. He is a ZEALOT of the light. Reforging a weapon of darkness is one thing, WEILDING actual darkness (stasis) is another. Plus, possessed or not: Lakshmi would sound FAR more desperate if she didnt have a critical ace up her sleeve to cheat her coup into instant victory over the vanguard. Savathun is many things, but stupid with WHO she has afflicted isnt one. Plus, the tower WILL be taken. Those blights basically cant be destroyed until their maker is. And Savathun is gaurenteed the force behind that. Meaning, we're likely to get the D1 social space back, given all the rumors about it possibly returning
I like the fact they bring up that dead orbit seems to not be involved with this potential coup in the city so maybe we’ll have a brand new faction war with us and dead orbit versus the new monarchy, FWC, and potentially the concordat as we know Lysander is still out in the wilds somewhere. This could easily be the set for season 15 leading up till witch queen
Entire reason for that is because we still don't have a Hunter Vanguard - and canonically every Hunter in the City fled the moment they started looking for a replacement. Also lore wise the knight we defeated in the final mission of season of the hunt was the one who took his light by killing sagira, he was not just a normal knight in the lore even if in the mission he was weak, so when we found him on the moon he was just a normal human at that point
@@gku93 I definitely see your point, however martial prowess is often secondary to influence and cunning when said disciplines are wielded like a knife in the dark. That's where Osiris's real strengths lie. Of course his story could go down a different path but its damn fun to speculate about. 🙂

Hearing Hideo being scared of Saint gives me no small amount of satisfaction.
At least he’s smart enough to be wary. He’s no Lightbearer, or Dark user. Lakshmi is just dumb to think she’ll control Saint like that.
I have two reads on Hideo's scare at the end of the card:
1) He's scared of what happens if Ikora discovers the plot before it is ready to be executed.
2) He's scared of what Lakshmi will do if Saint-14 rejects the plot.
I am increasingly convinced the latter option is the real one.
Hopefully Hideo and the new monarchy will go and do their own thing again instead of following behind Lakshmi to near certain doom.

They are coming closer
The override and corrupted expunge mission Dialouges dispaly this. Mithrax has told saint stuff about the vex domain
Mithrax and saint talking about fighting the vex side by side.

Why wouldn't Saint talk to his partner about something as insane as suggesting that he take over as Titan Vanguard behind Zavala's back? Also it's clear that she also approached Osiris to supplant Ikora. His reaction is more "you too, huh?" than predicting that Lakshmi would go specifically to Saint with her proposal.
The fact that Lakshmi tried to win over two Titans to her side without first offering some crayons and a new shotgun is laughable.

Two things :
Osiris knew that Saint spoke to Lakshmi yet entertained the idea that they may approach Saladin,I think he knew that Saladin already said no to sow fear in Saint if he is to decline
Secondly Lakshmi believes that if Ikora finds out they’re busted . If she’s left in the dark the coup can be planned and developed. However I believe Osiris aims to inform ikora regardless not to avoid a coup but to create even more distrust and infighting
Summary : Osiris is looking even more sus by the day
Really pumped for the end of the Story/Season. Its all so interesting.
Not just to the City and humanity as a whole, but to House Light, the Eliksni’s best chance at finding peace in this system.

bet you Lakshmi's gonna pull a "if I can't have it, no one can" and call the vex to the last city
I think it'll be less of a "If I can't have it" and more of a "Look at how unprepared the Vanguard were for a sudden attack within the City, while the FWC was completely and totally not suspiciously prepared to deal with such a threat"
Lakshmi is already working on portal technology, and I think she's going to try to bring in a small contingent of Vex in order to undermine the Vanguard as a political move, but things are going to get out of hand (as they always do).

2 things would happen with this:
1, gameplay wise: Saint and Osiris would take Zavala and Ikora's places respectivly at the tower, becoming the new Vanguard vendor and "whatever Ikora does at the tower" vendor.
More like no one wants to fill those shoes and lose their freedom for some Vanguard paperwork.
I hope someone makes some kind of Fanart of Saint cooing at pigeons; that visual made me giggle.
“Faction ships, staggered line! Guardian they outnumber us three to one!”
"They think they've got the highground. Shame that's the artillery range."
"They outnumber us 3:1"
"So then its a fair fight"
So she's basically saying that ikora and Zavala can't be trusted because they're letting the guardians wield the darkness yet she wants those same guardians to be on her side instead of the vanguards........🤔🤔🤔🤔

Never thought I'd hear Byf call himself "Lore Daddy"
For the kids!
My theory: earlier mithraax mentioned that Lakshmi is using some type of vex device that helps her see the future. With savathun having control over the vex domaine what if somehow she can control what Lakshmi sees? Even worse what if she’s taken control over Lakshmi…. Food for thought
Why do I get the feeling all of this would be solved if the faction leader just spent more time watching the crucible?
Also, heres a worrying theory:
What if Lakshmi comes to the vanguard with their diposement with the one guardian that scares even veteran guardians?
The zealot himself: Shin Malphur
Then there are two stasis picks with his name on it
Why would Shin help her? He has no ties to the FWC and he went into retirement after saying he trusts us. It would make no sense
Even Shin is no match against THE guardian, and THE guardian is clearly on the Eliksnis side. I really hope we speak a few lines again
@@Marceline-0522 shin literally (kinda?) chose us to take care of all the work wouldn't make sense for him to go against us
@@Marceline-0522 Being immortal to age, he can come OUT of retirement.
He is a ZEALOT of the light. Reforging a weapon of darkness is one thing, WEILDING actual darkness (stasis) is another.
As a zealot, he is obligated to draw the line.
I like how Hunter's don't give an F about politics like Titan's and Warlock's.
But Hunters care for Eliksni hatchlings so they will be on the vanguards side
@Jefferson Starkey *funny clown robo lady
Entire reason for that is because we still don't have a Hunter Vanguard - and canonically every Hunter in the City fled the moment they started looking for a replacement. It's hard to care about politics when you're hundreds of miles away or more and been left out of the loop for months if not years.

Oh i was a dumb! I tought they were literally gonna disable the Vanguard, fool me.
Is in this time where i most miss the Speaker. If he were here he would tell us what to do (thou he maybe wouldnt have approved the idea of an alliance with the Eliksni, im sure he would liked Mithraxx)
