I Have audi A4 8k manual quattro with this engine at 150.000km still no problem . I bought It at 130.000 and i changed the oil every 10/15.000km and full service of filter and oil every max 30.000km. The first owner do the service at audi in Italy, and use car in highway.
My 2015 Jetta tdi EA288 is doing really good, I changed the timing belt myself and changed the oil regularly and I've got over 200,000km on it and its solid and extremely reliable
Had 2 EGR & DPF failures on my 2015 A6, the theory behind the technology is good but they just aren't reliable enough to be practical. Luckily mine was covered by warrenty even still Audi kicked up a fuss about it. The parts aren't readily available either so you are looking at 5000 Euro for both parts including labour for replacing them. Just a word of warning for anyone looking to buy a new Audi diesel with one of these CNHA/Ultra engine's.
@@soraaoixxthebluesky Unfortunately at this stage there isn't the CNHA engines are too new of a development for aftermarket parts and the one's I did see were almost identical in price compared to the OEM parts.
@@b8alumrockb8 Not on these engines, The EGR valve and cooler and integrated into the DPF, the only way to delete them as such is to take the DPF and EGR out (same unit) and physically weld the EGR shut along with the DPF however the way Audi has developed the car you cant close off the EGR cooler so you end up with coolant entering the exhaust side the only way around it is to essentially custom map out all the knock sensors/dpf/egr related and the EGR/DPF functionalities and pre injection however it seems Audi have now made it that the ECU will revert back to default after a months, after market tuning companies have yet to find a way around this
the new modified parts gets rid of the valve, if your car takes more than 3 seconds to start and you get fault codes then replace this for the modified one
I have a video of how these engine's choke up the inlet manifold/charge cooler!! i think it's caused when the dpf starts to choke up, and egr is putting too much soot back into intake, causing manifold/charge cooler blockage as well as the dfp blockage
Master error P145F in 1.6 tdi engine appeared during dpf regeneration too high mass air flow during regeneration ... What can it be and how to fix it ...

Hyperezil Isn’t there any aftermarket part that does the job?

does the tiguan 2.0 tdi , 2018/19 use this same engine?
Thanks wolfgang
He didn't cover the defeat device 😉
for what egr or dpf? Do enlighten us with the details lol
It is better hidden in the EU6 than it was on the EU5
Is this why the EU6 TDI is very inefficient until warmed up? Probably 20-30% higher consumption on short journeys than the EU5.
Is the eu5 engine better?
Olok
Great vid.s thank.s guy.s

Where is the oil filter housing on this engine? Is it accessable from lower side or upper side like euro 5 tdi engines?
from the upper side
2 Timothy 2:19 I think it depends on wether or not this engine are mounted in transverse or longitudinal position
from underneath at front of engine
