And he says he's not an artist!!
That's so dope
He made all of those while still working at painting houses? Amazing work ethic! Wow. They're so cool. Glad you still have them. That's a family legacy!
Typical Nonno humility, he's quite the artisan! 😮👍
Yep! dEfiNtelY nO aRtiSt hErE! Lol! The man is brillant! The nanna (my term for grandmother) is next level on the lovin' an' cookin' skills. Life lessons for all! Thanks a bunch for making these!
He's a wonderful artist!
"Goodbye, talk to my husband." Haha, I see the dead-pan sense of humour runs in the family. ♡
Spicy Nonna is a national treasure, and her artist husband as well. A wonderful family, thank you for sharing your life with us.
This is such a beautiful channel! Thank you Vanessa for steering your viewers here and to your brother for creating the channel! Your Nonno and Nonna remind me of my late grandparents. No nonsense, lots of love, good food, humor and working with your hands. I look forward to learning some recipes and seeing more stunning sculptures 🥰
Our pleasure!
I love this Channel! My condolences as well to the Family! ❤
Aww, Nonna saying that she feels like it's Christmas everytime she gets to see her kids and grandkids warms my heart
The Italian accents are EVERYTHING! Honestly could listen to you talk all day long. Definitely looking forward to many more videos😊
Same. But i got to say, Nonno sounds like Vito corleone
@@mr.patriotjol 🤣
This is seriously so sweet to share your guys' grandparents, their cooking, their love, and secrets. A treasure trove of memories to be made on this channel, very sweet and exciting!
Such awesome people! The " When I see my kids and grandkids its like Christmas" really touched my heart. My grandparents were the same way, they lived way out in the country and would sit on their front porch every day in Mississippi heat waiting for someone to stop by. They had nine boys, and all of them had their own families so they had company more days than not. Chicken and dumplings were made for lunch every Tuesday and everyone who could come did. Most people would have called them poor but I believe they were rich in every way that was truly important.
"Sometimes we have to yell..." been there, done that!! So great to share family! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for introducing us to your grandparents. She’s definitely a good cook. Grazie Nonna! ❤
My grandparents died when I was very young, both were immigrants coming over from Germany and Poland.
Seeing this is really beautiful. Cooking was a big part in my family too, with my Oma showing her love through delicious meals.
Thank you for sharing this, your Nonna is beautiful and your Nonno is the sweetest. Much love from the UK x
I came here from Girl With The Dogs. I haven’t had rabbit in many years, but I think it’s time to buy it again. I loved this exchange: “How many potatoes, Nonna?” “Oh, quite a few.” It seems the best cooks always know by just eyeballing the ingredients. A skill I do not have! 😊
The Spicy Nonna cooks with love. That's the best kind of cook there is.
God bless Nonna and Nonno. I wish them many, many more years of health, surrounded by their children and grand-children. They are in my prayers. Thank you for these wonderful videos.
It's so lovely to see grown grandchildren enjoying hanging out with their grandparents and cooking together in the kitchen. ☺
Thank you so much for creating this channel. Your grandparents are amazing and the food and sculptures make me nostalgic for the beautiful Italian cities I would visit when I was living in Europe: Cortina, Bolzano, Milan, Padoue, Florence, Venice, and of course, Rome. I am happy to follow along. Bless
My grandmother used to make amazing rabbit stew sometimes we would put it in side a huge yorkshire pudding and pour the gravy from the stew over it. She was a wonderful cook, and never timed anything as she never learned to tell the time. It always came out amazing. She raised 10 kids and would get up extremely early morning just so she could back bread so kids had a slice of dripping and bread before the ventured out. She was some lady.
👋
Grandparents are such a blessing. My Grandmas taught me to cook and my Grandpas taught me to drive and fix things. All 4 were such a presence in my life. I was blessed to have two of them till I was 41. Miss them all everyday.
I grew up in a different hemisphere from my grandparents and barely got the chance to know them. I'm jealous of your deep connection to your roots and your ability to learn the kinds of lessons that can only come with a vast amount of life experience.
When your grandfather said "Bye bye." so sweetly, it reminded me of my grandfather who says the same thing when I got off the phone with him knowing he could pass at any day. It just made me think of my grandfather so much. Your grandparents are beautiful souls! ❤️❤️
Love this! Your grandparents remind me of my mom and dad. They immigrated here in 1955 and lived happily here in Canada until their passing in 2012 (dad) and mom (2020). They had thick accents as well and my dad was a house painter as well. He was definitely a jack of all trades and could fix anything. Mom ran the house and was an unbelievable cook. Thank you for sharing, this brought back many memories! ❤️
I live in Northern Ontario where a lot of Italians settled in my city 70-100 years ago. Almost all of them were house painters or masons LOL
This video pleasantly came up in my feed. I am a 66 year old Nonni as my grandkids call me. My maternal grandparents immigrated to the US in the early 1900s from Manfredonia, Italy which is in the Province of Foggia in the Puglia region of Italy. My grandfather passed when I was 8 months old, but was blessed to have my grandmother who lived a 10 minute walk from my home in my life until I was 21. My grandmother being the oldest of 12 children became the matriarch of her family when her parents passed, so I was surrounded by many great aunts and uncles and a gazillion cousins growing up which made up my lively and loud Italian family. My grandmother was a great cook but even a better baker. For many years she had a small in home business making Italian cookies for weddings, and being one of her two grand daughters I inherited her cookie recipes which are like gold to me all written on scraps of paper. Now I make those same cookies with my own two grand daughters for the holidays. Wish you the best with this channel featuring your grandparents as they are a delight to watch. 😁
Ciao Zia and Zio, you two are naturals at this! Glad to see you on here. I always loved Nonna's rabbit, I'll have to try this one. Hope all is well. Love, Vincenzo, Shawn, and Elio.
This channel is amazing. So wholesome 🥰❤️
Thank you Vanessa, Junior, Nonno & Nonna. I really enjoy these videos - your chats, your cooking, your artwork, and your love. You ARE an Artist, Nonno!!
❤❤❤❤
I think Vanessa's brother's name is Julian, not Junior!
Thank you girl with the dogs. I'm gonna eat this up! 😂
Love this! Thank you so much for sharing Nonno and Nonna with us!
"My Grandkids drive me crazy" less than 30 seconds in..... I love them already. SUBBED!
Wonderful memories made over the best recipes! Beautiful grandparents!
Wow! Grandpa is an amazing sculpture! How wonderful! ( : They are adorable
I am the same way!! If I'm cooking for my husband and babies ....it always turns out wonderfully! I believe 100%, cooking turns out or doesn't turn out by your "intention."
I love Nona and Nono. Amazing wonderful family.
Amazing story....I hope they live forever!! Brings a tear to my eye when I watch...no joke!!
I’ve been binge watching these videos. My grand parents have gone on but watching your grand parents is so comforting. ❤️
You are so lucky to still have your grandparents. They are delightful! And rabbit is delicious!
their advice makes so much sense and yet its so simple we don't even think about it
I miss my Nonna so much! Thank you for sharing yours with us. 💖🌹
Thank you so much for sharing the link to your grandparents channel❣️ It is so wonderful to see grandchildren, not only spending time with their grandparents, but also celebrating them and documenting their lives for others to share ❤️ You and your brother are wonderful to do this and I for one am thankful to be able to see what wonderful people your Nonno and Nonna are ❤ I’m looking forward to watching all the videos on this channel and trying g some of the recipes. I love rabbit and grew up in Newfoundland eating it quite often. My husband is now dipping his feet in trapping so I hope to get to eat it again and try Nonna’s recipe and her potatoes too 😊
My Italian grandfather died when I was in fourth grade (1983), but I recall him clearly and fondly to this day. He was always kind to me, taught me to tend the garden of his backyard, and to love animals. He made many things from wood, and he had a garage full of tools, but he died so young that I didn't learn much of his expertise. He did take me fishing. I miss you, Grandpa. I'm glad your grandparents are both still alive and loving one another. My mom's mother, wife of my departed grandpa, lived until 2013, and she would have been 94 that year. She was an amazing cook, seemstress, and gardener. She was frugal as anything from living through the Great Depression. I think her words to me are more sound today than ever: "If you can't afford to buy it with cash, don't buy it at all." I miss you, Grandma. My father's father had died before I was born, so I never got to know him. His mother lived until 1994 when cancer took her. She was a kind, patient, loving woman who did everything she could to keep her home and family clean and cared for and running smoothly; she was the matriarch of that line for as long as I knew her, and everyone respected her. I miss you, Grandma. I don't need to tell you to treasure and cherish your own grandparents as it's so clear that you do. Best wishes from a new subscriber from The Girl With The Dogs.
Love them so much! My mom just turned 80 this year ( my dad 76), and my parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary also. I told them that they have many more years to look forward to ❤️
Nice couple. They both remind me of my Italian grandparents. All four are gone but not forgotten. Like all great Italians who came to the new country and made the USA their home, I say thank you.
Without my Grandparents, I wouldn't be here. Both my parents are gone but they left a lifetime of memories, love and great food. Now, it's
OUR turn to give to next generation to continue what our family gave us.
Ciao,...🧐🌲👍
Loved this sweet video of your grandparents! Liked & subbed !
My new favorite channel❣️ Thank you and God bless Nono and Nona
Nonna and friends are the cutest group I've seen in a while! Thanks for sharing.
That's my philosophy to a long relationship too, love & respect - treat others how you want to be treated! Such good people, I loved this video!💛
The love comes through ....wow this brought tears to my eyes
Two minutes in and I'm in love with your Grandparents ❤️
I could almost smell the dish cooking- I wish I could in reality! Thank you! what great people!
How can you not love them. Remind me of my spanish family, very family centered.❤
Makes me miss my Mama and Papa. I love that she talks to you in Italian. ❤❤
I love your family❤. Thank you and bless you for sharing them! I need them in my life! You are all wonderful and beautiful and smart!
Hi Vanessa, I love your grandparents, we certainly know where you get your humour from. And the rabbit dish I will try to xopy!
This is lovely! I have only had rabbit once, it looked that good too.
I've only eaten rabbit a few times , mostly because it's hard to find in the stores. But I do like it.
What a beautiful couple. They made me smile, laugh and nod.
People would kill for hair like that at his age! He's doing something right since he still has his hair at his age! Wonderful! :) Amazing man! :)
I made the spaghetti carbonara for the first time because of the last video and it was buonissimo! Thank you Nonna!
Just found your channel. I will truly enjoy learning Italian recipes.
Thanks for something interesting.
Thank you Ms "Girl with the Dogs" for your generous introduction. I'm in love with your grandparents! subbed :)
Wow amazing grandpa and grandma. So blessed ❤
I have come to live watching all the videos. Learning new recipes are great. Thank you for sharing.
Oh, my goodness! I subscribe to the GWD channel, and a video with Nonna came up. I immediately came over to subscribe!!
My 'Nonna', ("Grandmama") was a Polish lady who lived in Texas most of her adult life. She was an *amazing cook!! And an even more *amazing seamstress! I miss her every day!
I will be coming back to visit Nonna and learn some new recipes!
Luv you, 😘
From Miz Mary's (little) Bitty-est Grandbaby.
I miss my Italian grandparents. After many years I have finally been recognized as an Italian citizen and I just received my Italian passport two weeks ago! I often wonder what my grandparents would have said about my quest for Italian citizenship! They came to the states in the late 1930's and never wanted to return to Italy.
Thanks for sharing your grandparents with us ❤❤❤
Nice story of Nonna and Nonna, the Rabbit stew look delicious.
Hi Vanessa, when I first tuned in to your channel I realized you had Mediterranean and probably Italian roots; though not as closely as grandparents. I like them.
LOL I love the personality they have. I love listening to the old stories of grandparents and great-grandparents. They have so much to share.
Just found your channel all the way from Australia and have watched every episode. Love your Nonna and Nonno and your family. Such a wholesome channel. Please post more please. xx
Hi Nonna, Nonno I never had rabbit, but it looks amazing how Nonna made it, I smiled when Vanessa got remanded by Nonna about the potatoes, and the marriage advice is spot on by both Nonna and Nonno. Love Katherine xoxo
Awesome video with your grandparents. Maybe sometime you could have your parents there too, so we can meet them as well.
I'm so delighted that you're doing this, I immigrated to US from Eastern Europe and it brings me such joy to watch this because it reminds me of when my sister and I were younger and we cooked with both my grandparents. I'm Slovak but my heritage is actually Hungarian, we call me grandma Nagyi similarly to Nonna. My Nagyi also used to make rabbit little bit different of a process that also very very delicious. We had raised our own growing up. I no longer eat meat and neither does my sister but I sure appreciate great recipes in other cultures. Thank you so much for posting this I can't say enough how much this has warmed my heart. Your grandparents remind me very much of my own. 🥰
Oh, they remind me of my polish and russian grandparents. They are so sweet! Cherish this time with them. All too soon it will come to an end.
I'm a grandmother now and finding myself doing almost the same things as my grandmothers and great grandmothers. Thank you so much for sharing them with us 🥰🥰🤗🤗😘😘🥰🥰🤗🤗😘😘
Vanessa is so lucky to have grandparents like you!
Thank you so much for making this channel!! Best to y'all!
You are amazing lots of love from New Jersey 😇💕💐🌹
The Wax Museum: Non posso credere che tutto questo ha fatto Lei! You are an artist.
And there is another artist in the kitchen!
Bellissimo accento, sono veri italiani! Bravissimi. Saluti dall'Italia.
Grandparents are a blessing.
Your Nonna reminds me so much of my mother. Thank you for introducing her and her husband to us. New subscriber here.
Subscribed from girl with the dogs but only pressed subscribe when I heard you speak. Looking forward to your videos. I live UK and just came home from Sorrento I love Italy and the culture x Sarah x
OMG. Vanessa, your channel The Girl with the Dogs is amazing, but this is really excellent too!
Nonna, good for you and your family. Adimiration!!!
"I'm not a good cook" "I"m not an artist" ...they are both adorable full of it.
Rabbit stew! Yum! ❤️. Nonno's sculptures are amazing! 😍
Thank you for introducing us to, two beautiful people❣
Enjoy every single moment you can with them. I miss mine terribly.
😂 when Nona says to clean the potatoes and the “who cares? 🤨 I do!!” Nona is just like my Grammy ❤
I love the dog's nail polish 😅As someone who lives with someone with hearing aids I appreciate the yelling too 🤣
Today I'm thankful for UA-cam recommending this channel to me 💗💗💗💗
I love how the second he says he's not an artist you show the fountain he made by hand. Lol. Glad I wondered into this channel :).
I love this!! My father's parents and his grand parents all came over from Italy and they were such wonderful people. I miss them still. I hope you learn Italian - they wanted us to speak English so never taught any of us Italian and I still lament that. Your Nonna and Nonno are adorable. ♥♥ Lunga vita!
Nonna is a great cook because she cooks with love!
That dish looked so delicious…you seem like wonderful people
