She's soooooooooooo South African Period
I agree with you 10000000000000%.
It's true what that lady is saying Tyla is so South African
Man it's not her fault that they grouped all African Music as Afrobeats she even said this herself in her acceptence speech idk why are people mad at her it just don't make any sense...they just jealous the girl getting a W after a W😂
And I can't believe that Tems is not defending her. Like Tyla always speaks highly of Nigerian music, she hardly even talks about SA musicians.
But hey
You nailed it friend💯
@@disekomotsepetems made that statement on breakfast club way before the tyla backlash happened, they were just asking her about afrobeat in general and not about tyla
Nothing to be jealous of. You should be demanding & expecting award shows to honour Amapiano, you shouldn't be celebrating ignorance. Afrobeat artists get to play huge arenas all over the world. Jealousy's the last thing happenning here.
They wanted to claim Amapiano 😂. But Uno reverse hit em.
Rather than go after the African Americans who are cancelling Tyla you go back to Nigeria . Nigerians are supporting Tyla and we have globally opened African music and its still not enough , now we want you to have your own category you still complain. You guys are wicked , spineless and will die of jealousy .
I smell jealousy from the Americans and Nigerians. The hate for Tyla is now getting out of hand now.
If burna boy won best amapiano album would it make sense
Nigerians a are well within their rights to speak up even tyla did mention in her acceptance speech that she's not afrobeat. Americans act like they understand african culture when they dont, not so long they were bashing Tyla for saying she's colored
Nah it's not hate she a industry plant
@@LordFibonacci_Amuzarindustry plants still get hate poes futsek outta here
Not Nigerians and I'm from South Africa
The VMAs groups all music african nusic under Afrobeats
Exactly! It is not so much a genre - But a representation of where the artists come from.
Tyla is not at fault, not even close. Congrats Tyla!!!!
She isn't but her team is cz the poor girl is not getting a cent from all the accolades and exposure that's she will be left with the min the team drops her when she becomes irrelevant, but congrats still😌
She not but she mustn’t be controlled
Lik sho madjozi@@Lloyd_Newz
Wait they want us to share Amapiano. But Afrobeats is all theirs 😂😂😂😂😂
You can't get in a mango challenge with an orange
@coolestcutezulufairy Indeed a fish can't compete in a climbing competition with monkeys.
😂
Afrobeats is not a genre. Afrobeat is a genre.. That is the style brought by Fela Kuti. Afrobeats is just an umbrella term guven by DJ Abranrie for his program on a radio station in UK to reference music from Africa an the diaspora. Whether the song was highlife, juju, pop, R&B, hiphop, it was dubbed Afrobeats so far as the artiste was fron Africa or an African in the diaspora .
@HoveringAfrica The distinction I understood as Fela and his contemporaries made Afrobeat. This new music is called Afrobeats plural.
I remembered when water blew up Nigerians where claiming her saying she makes afrobeat 😂😂now that she won that afrobeat award they don't want her😂😂😂😂
Nigerians, which ones?? there are over 2000 million people in Nigeria, don't talk nonsense.
NIGERIANS ARE HATER, AND THEY FUSE AMAPIANO TO GET MORE INTERNATIONAL POPULARITY, ANYWAYS NIGERIANS ARE SMALL FISH THEY ALL MUMU
@jogadorraro6570 did you just say 2000 million?😳
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂@@thabisomathenjwa7990
Nigerians claiming her? You drunk or what? We don't need to claim her bcos we have more than enough. We respect her craft, love her music but we don't claim, don't need to. Stop yakking 😂😂😂😂
Oksalayo she was nominated and she won it! Not her fault for being voted...
There is no backlash, Nigerians can keep crying. Congrats Tyla! Vele we are not Afro beats, but we are happy for our baby girl ❤🔥
Nonsense
Mumu ..ur hatred from Nigerians is mind blowing.what has Afrobeat got to do with her music ?
But ur culture isn't recognized. Tyler said afrodeats opened the door for her. Be humble, my brother.
Mumu man
To be completely honest, I don't care what you or anyone thinks or feels. We're happy for Tyla and she deserves this. You can go argue with your uncles if you disagree.
Nigerians & Americans Hating On A South African Chick is Sad bruh.
Imagine if burna boy won an amapiano you'd be crying all day
@@theblackgods4699 at least we as South Africans know our history, unlike some people who doesn't do their research.
Where is the Nigerian that hated her . The people who spoke are Ghanian . You guys dont know the different between Africans and its sad . Lastly Tems coborated what Tyla has said and yet you are not satisfied .
We are not you people we will always support Africa and we love Tyla and NAsty who support this notion.
I wish Nigeria cares...
One thing yall don't Nigerians don't think about unnecessary things.
I'm from South Africa and it's not Nigerians they just give they opinion regarding afrobeats
It's Americans hating on Tyla
All of this is not Tyla's faults, she is just a victim of God's blessings at this point...the organisations are at fault (their tendency to group African music under one umbrella is CAP!) We need Africans on the panels of these organisations to cancel this way of thinking!!!
And to Americans as well, you can't want people from other countries having to convert their ways just to please you guys...that is just imperialist behaviour 😢
Walibeka iqiniso bafo🙏🏾
Khuphuka, they hated Drake cause he's not American
Afrobeat is Nigeria and Nigeria is Afrobeat. End of story. Go wake Fela up from his grave and ask him. Lol
Nobody makes Nigerians lack confidence or clueless, that one I know... Tyla herself has said she represents Amapiano, how can someone who doesn't even do Afrobeats represent it???
Fraud 😂😂😂
I’m Zulu, I think it’s a bit unfair for Tyla to win Afrobeats award when we in South Africa don’t make such music. Imagine if a Nigerian can win an Amapiano award. There would be such uproar in South Africa
Broh asenze ngathy we don't see it she deserves it 🎉😂
But it's almost happened with Davido..
major league have afrobeat songs
@@sawlty-suite5131 lol… Only if you told me that 10 artist does it, I would have bought your story🤣🤣🤣😭😭
We honestly dont mind , Tyla is a great artist . She is the one who raised the topic and we still support her but your fellow south Africans want to turn this to a SA vs Nigeria thing again even when we dont care about the subject.
good or bad publicity still makes money causes controversy 🤗
Congratulations Queeen well done
They just hating on the girl even about things that are not that serious
U Joe Budden makayonya
Amasendakhe lowo
I love tyla and respect her
shes an industry planet
She is an industry plant though
Maybe Tyla must do what Kanye West is doing now. Take your talent to Asia and Russia as she is not appreciated in USA and Africa and only South Africa where her talent will be appreciated. FINISH AND KLAAR. 😂
That award was deserved by TEMS🤦🏾♂️
Americans and Nigerians are madooooo
How are Nigerians mad?
But water sounds afrobeats to me even though she doesn’t necessarily make afrobeats
Stop giving these power hungry award show leaders all the power. Tyla ain't the problem, the award shows don't give a hoot about the different genres enough to educate themselves. Ignore them, play your concerts & keep selling records.
So now rap was meant just for Americans? If you're from outside America you can't do rap??
Water is not amapiano still... So just because she's from South Africa she can't make afro eats is that so. Asake's song amapiano is not piano because he's Nigerian, this doesn't make any sense I swear
Why did nobody complain when she was nominated for the awards? but now that she won the awards everyone hates her for winning.she never said she is coloured when she was interviewed.people went on her page where she introduced herself as coloured before she was famous..get over yourself hatters our mega star ⭐ is going places❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂
Bro Nigeria stole Amapiano, first amapiano song on Grammys called Amapiano by Asake
Meanwhile Mzansi A listers plays something at the end to be debate that we colonized hip hop
South Africa - 100
Nigeria - 0 😂😂😂😂😂.. Ain't no catching us
Not nigeria and Ghana, its purely Nigeria. Don't make another mistake
Funny😂😂 how y'all want tyla to win more awards in afro beat when she clearly dont do afro beat but yet forced chidimma out of south Africa beauty pageantry simply because her parents are foreigners.
Tyla's rise to fame is sus, and my suspicions of her being a plant are being proven right as time goes😂
I am not hater though so congratulations to her
This is for the Nigerians who wanted to claim amapiano
Hate
its just haters & Hippocrates... clearly there's no african or amapiano catagory but if tyla didn't win & say what she said we would be talking about this which will force all these american award shows to create proper categories for african artists
American people they don't like Tyler at all
Tyla doesn't choose who wins awards lol i don't get the hate
Where tf do u find these wack rappers who sound like you 😂
😂😂😂😂lol Nigeria is sneak hating on SA
I don't understand Americans sometimes 2mins when she was moving with the water song she was hyped. Then 2mins she's been hated what's going on here
They did same thing to tems bashing her that her voice is annoying
Does that mean Davido shouldn't be making Amapiano?
No one is saying that.
Anyone can make afrobeat and anyone can make amapiano, you dont become an afrobeat artist merely based on the fact that you are from nigeria or ghana, it is the music that defines your genre not ethnicity the question here is water an afrobeat song? And the answer is no even tyla acknowledges that......anyone can make amapiano or afrobeat even if terms makes amapiano and wins an award no one will complain because its amapiano
I'm from South Africa and I say she is a plant forreal
They want an American to win it at least next year.
Are you coloured ...perfect breed! You should be proud of her... you growing plants!
I want an apology from those that keep denying the sale of the soul...
Eyi Joe Budden is ignorant... Hands off my illuminati princess
I am South African and this is bull, how is she winning Afro beat when dudes actually make Afrobeats, maybe if it was a piano song which is also not Afrobeat
Honestly we dont mind , but she is the one who raised the topic . You guys will never agree if a Nigerian artist won an Amapiano award . lol
Afrobeat originated in Ghana.
😢damn they scammed y'all too? Sheeesh bruv
Do you see how proud they claim to be the originator of afro beat 😂😂
Yeah afro beats is from Ghana
That's what I laso know
@@raah7151 😂😂
1) Afro beats - Nigeria
Amapiano - South Africa
2) As much as I agree with what point Joe Budden is tryina send across, I have to mention this dude needs to work on he's delivery and how he talks to people, it's ok to tell the truth but you don't have to be so rude about it.
3) Tyla admitting that she's not an afro beats artist goes to show that she's not the one to blame for the misunderstanding of the Afro beats category. So instead of calling her an industry plant at least stick to saying she doesn't deserve the award that's it.
4) The term "industry plant" is directed to those who aren't talented nor gifted with that calling to make great music, and when I mean great music I mean music that is timeless. These industry plants use the art form to set trends, gain all the fame, Money and fortune they can get all from the connections of the industry.
Tyla is the opposite of an industry plant, she's talented, I mean it she's extremely talented. Her album proves it so before you accuse her of being an industry plant, I suggest you take the time to understand what inspires her to make the music she makes and why she loves the art form.
Joe acts like he understands africans merely because he's black and of course he'll say such things bout Tyla following that he was bashing her for saying she's colored...... i mean let africa define afrobeat for themselves not some joe budden
@@His.wordsmith agreed🐐
Thank God someone who gets it . We are seeing people going after Nigerians for an issue that doesnt concern us .
She is not a plant she is talented but it’s just that people just get tired of seeing her everywhere with the way there are pushing her I guess that’s just the issue there
Well this industry plant, non-afro beat girl - Just added 100 million streams to her album, since the VMA's - So - Whatever..
lol winning is bitter sweet 😂
The biggest haters on the planet
Ok'salayo!!!
Tyla made effing clear that she represents AMAPIANO she ain’t about no Afro beats
Why didn't she say something when she was nominated long before the awards
Afrobeat does not come from nigeria, nigerians need to chill🤣
Nigerians did nothing , The presenter sspeaking was Ghanian and Afrobeats did come from Nigeria with the progenator of Afrobeat being Fela . The whole world knows this . Ghanians practise this genre as well.
@@martinsgates1141 my guy afrobeats originates from ghana, yes nigerians made it popular bcz of their population, we know they never create things from the scratch.
Afrobeat didn't come from Nigeria, AFROBEAT IS NIGERIA. Know this and know peace. Lol
@@mcdonald1821 i already know peace my dear,as long as you agree it didn't come from Nigeria you stole it as always n made it your own.
@@mcdonald1821 Ok where did Afrobeat come from and who founded it .
Dont you guys get tired of being carried along for every single thing . Its almost like Ghana cant function without Nigeria .
Afrobeats is nor Nigerian too you guys stole it from Ghana just like you did to Amapiano😂😂😂
What exactly did we steal ? Lmao if that's the case we also stole from ourselves, African Americans and Jamaicans so weird Afrobeats is Nigerian and will always be, Afrobeats is made out of many genres especially back then but now it's solely Nigerian, especially when the talking drum is used with Nigerian instruments. When it was created it was like a pan African genre
Bunch of sour grapes
Industry plant!!!💯
Yeap
Umona
This such bullshit.
Industry plants get everything
im that fast
Afro-beatz originated in South Africa 🧑💻 all music originate from South Africa, South Africa is the source.
As a South African I disagree bro afrobeats originated in nigeria bro😂
😅😅😅😅😅😅✊🏽
You’re stupid
@@watchman_ernestHe's giving them the sauce they gave us 😂😂
I feel you on that! We are the source and not only in music. I won’t get into it, but Africa knows, whether they like it or not! 😂
Thing is, if Tyla acknowledges that grouping all African artists as "Afrobeats" is wrong, then she shouldn't accept an award for AFROBEATS. Then it's just lip service
Bannyela ba oksalayo Tyla🇿🇦🇿🇦 won ❤❤ and I thought Afrobeat meant African beat so she's African ❤❤ so why hating you Nigerian and American ❤❤
The fault was on her for removing herself from afrobeats even when we know her producers are afrobeats
😂😂😂 it’s nice when they claim amapiano 😎 shout out mtv 😅😅
How do you say an artist is an industry plant and in the same breath say her album is great? Isn't an idea of an industry plant an artist who's basically talentless and a gimmick but getting undeserved attention?
these americans sound like they can never allow any dope hip hop song to win in their country only because the artist would be a foreigner. give that water beat to tems or burna boy. they'll immediately call it afrobeat.
Tyla's rise to fame is sus, and my suspicions of her being a plant are being proven right as time goes😂
I am not hater though so congratulations to her
Afrobeat is not a wise term to use as it is mistakenly interpreted as African beat. Afro is generally associated with Africa.
but they said at some point they put amapiano on the map!!! Now that South Ah has done that with their genre it's different???
I get the feeling that Tyla just canceled herself by questioning the award live on stage. Amapiano has clearly not earned the reputation of Afrobeat to be considered as a category IMO. The future will tell.
I see Joe Budden I click
Not joe budden hating on South Africa
Africans fighting and dividing again 💔💔💔💀💀
What the hell is American culture
She literally called out the vmas for it smh 🤦
So Who's fault is it even tyla said it
😅abaphile ngama payipi once
She’s getting dubs and seeing this hate is sad man
What does she make if not afro bests
The b.s politics of music
africans and divisions
All of you guys have limited information about this matter and but y'all wanna make assumptions?
Exactly. No clue, no idea...
Now you are pushing Nigeria 🇳🇬 propaganda? 😂
This is bread and butter for SA . Even if we sacrifice our lives for you people , You guys will still find a way to make it negative and say we did it for a crazy motive.
That water song by tyla sounds more afrobeat than amapiano...lol lets be honest with ourselves...just because it has a bit of log drum, doesn't make it completely Piano.
So with that logic she deserves to win the afro beat award? 😂
@@dorah9930 pretty much! At the end of the day, she won, Logic or not.
meaning of afrobeats = all african beats
May God bless you 🙌
Are u mad..Afrobeats is west African..Is makossa afro beats too?..dummy
No, because afrobeats is purely Nigeria music genre
Not true at all
Afrobeats started with jazz, highlife, Native Nigerian Genres like Fuji and etc... with many different black genres but then it became one, Amapiano is already an established Genre and should be treated as such you can't use Afrobeats as an umbrella term even in Nigeria we have different genres Lmao
This is like saying Tyler the creator is an industry plant cause his album “Igor” won best rap album when it was actually a pop-alternative album
This is stupid
The fact that she spoke about this literally shows it's not her fault
We never claim amapiano braah 😂 we just doing it better 🇳🇬

Afro originates in South Africa, period!!
Tyla accepted the nomination while knowing well she's not afrobeat and even went to accept the award....
Lol the hypocrisy "I represent amapiano"
*Tyla was wrong to compete in a category she doesn't belong in, and she still had the hypocrisy to go on stage to receive an award for something she doesn't deserve. It's clear that this is a forced and bought award, just like the Grammy's. She doesn't have the African or global impact of Burna Boy, who has filled stadiums all over the world, something Tayla is still a long way from doing because she's at the beginning of her career.*
