- After the LoFree Flow, I got my hands on the new NuPhy Air75 V2.
They shipped it out from China really fast, as I received it in TX in 6 days!
So far I am super impressed with the design, the company's attention to little details and the value it offers.
I like my Lofree Flow just because I bought it for typing. In terms of keyboard extra features - I don't need them and never used them on any keyboard. Therefore I found Lofree an ideal match for me personally.
Just wish the lofree had QMK/VIA support.
For typing action, I prefer the Lofree Flow (white version with linear switches). The Nuphy v2 switches/build sound rattly in comparison. I also have the XVX keycaps installed on the Lowfree (its a must have IMO and inexpensive from places like Ali Express etc). For features like QMK/VIA, 2.4ghz dongle etc, then obviously the Nuphy is better but I don't use those features much and can get away with using Windows Power Toys or similar utilities for key remapping on the Lofree.
Which xvx keycaps?
ive got the white lofree flow, the keycaps suck. i didnt know we can use other keycaps on it apart from the one lofree makes. can u drop the full name for the xvx keycaps?
I prefer the Lofree. Buttery smooth switches. Nuphy sounds too clackety for my liking - almost like using a blue switch.
Personally, I think the Ghost linear switches are much nicer than the Phantom tactile switches on the Lofree Flow. Linear switches are default on the white version or you can buy the linear switches separately and swap them in.
lofree sounds substantially better, much more muted sound. aint as pretty tho
I agree, the Gateron Brown 2.0 sounds scratchy. But, the Nuphy catches up substantially in the sound department with the new Moss switches. Will upload a video soon.
Lofree Ghost Linear switches super smooth and plush - better than that the Cowberry and Moss switches on the Nuphy, and I'm normally a brown switch user. @@PointlessVideos45
hey man, try the nuphy keycaps on lofree if u can. Id love to hear back from u.
SIX DAYS?! Who did you order from?! lol wow. I want one.
From Nuphy.com
perfect Keyboard!!
Which one ?
I bought the nuphy that I now deeply regret. I've decided to sell it at a discounted price and invest in the Lofree LoFree instead
I hope you find your happy keyboard.
I Like air75 better
After installing the Moss switches, I love the Air75 v2 and it also feels better than the LoFree Flow!
Get the XVX 'Normcore' shine through keycaps if you have either keyboard. Makes a massive difference to the keyboard illumination.
Can you share the exact name or link of these shine through keycaps?
can you use the nuphy keycaps on the lofree?
yes you can, I've tried it but it feels cheaper compared to the Lofree
@@riomarchello7080 do u mind making a video or a reddit post? i want to order and im so confused on how they might sound
@@sheryarhk i have already sold the nuphy keycaps, but I still have the Lofree Flow (im not going to sell it 🤣)
There is a Korean proverb: "dropping nose mucus in completed soup". That means you ruin something you have elaborated on with a simple mistake. The lack of key customisability of LowFree is that nose mucus.
You can remap the keys using on the Lofree with Windows Powertoys and similar utilities.
@@thecat4272 No, that does not work, because what I want to do is creating a shortcut like Fn+F.
The Flow feels and sounds good. That’s literally ALL it has going for it. It lacks most if not all standard for that category and price point.
That's already most of what people want in a keyboard
That’s literally all I care about and I appreciate the minimalist design. I work in game audio so it’s shortcuts and coding all day and feel and sound of the keyboard matter the most to me
@@bolttracks I can definitely respect that. I think my frustration lies more so that the price point is very high for a keyboard missing so many features that others less expensive have. That and they did a lot of half truth marketing and will straight up stop responding if you ask them anything about it.
There is no software for LoFree to remap keys. That stop me to buy it
Depend to what extent you want remap eg. macros. You can remap keys using on the Lofree with Windows Powertoys and similar utilities.
