Beautiful tree. Did you amend the soil with anything or is it just plain dirt ? What fertilizer do you use ? How often do you water it ? Are you able to do a follow up video on how it looks now ? Thank you
The native soil in Las Vegas has NO organic matter so the soil has to be amended. I use compost mixed with the native soil 50/50 whenever planting. I also use just compost in spring as fertilizer. In summer, I water 3 times a week, enough to saturate the entire root zone, down to 2'-3'. It is time for a follow up, I'll try to do that in spring when it's fruiting. Thanks for the comment!
@@tvanbrown Ok. Thank You for the reply. -- Off topic, but wanted to ask: In a previous video (don't recall which) I heard you make brief mention of a garden club here in Las Vegas. If you're allowed to share about it in a video, I'd love to learn more about it. - Take Care.
@@MidoriTigris I help run the Las Vegas Fruit Grower and the Las Vegas Fig Growers on Facebook. Las Vegas Extreme Gardeners and Las Vegas Gardening Community, are great resources for general gardening. Hope to see you there!
I live in Moapa not far from you. Do you know where I can purchase one of these and the world's best mulberry trees. I'm currently growing everbearing type but the fruit is pretty small. Does Don Olsen still deliver trees if so any other way to contact him, I don't use Facebook.
Nice Video My Friend...
Great video
Just planted one here in Texas
Those look so tasty, I don’t have one of those.
It's a terrific variety and fruits in late April and May for me.

❤... Hello there @tvanbrown -- Would you happen to know where I can get a Shangri La Mulberry here in Las Vegas?
No one carries them in Vegas unfortunately. You might find some on-line.
