- Dave Grohl reveals he welcomed a secret daughter outside his marriage, in a bombshell message shared to Instagram on Tuesday. The Foo Fighters frontman told fans, 'I plan to be a loving and supportive partner to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.' Dave has been married to Jordyn Blum since 2003. The couple share three daughters: 18-year-old Violet, 15-year-old Harper and 10-year-old Ophelia.

Once trust is broken, you can never get it back. Even if his wife forgives him, she will never forget. She will forever have doubts and will resent him for it and it will cause a rift in their marriage. His children specially the older daughters will have a hard time trusting him and men in general. From what I know, he’s a hands on father so he’s really close to his kids. He just broke their little hearts when he broke this wife’s heart. Having an affair doesn’t just affect your spouse, it affects your whole family. He was selfish for his actions. Also, that baby born out of an affair, she will be bullied for it when she grows up.

That girl knew he was married. These girls see the Hollywood lights and make poor decisions? She isn't innocent by no means. This is so very sad. What does she say to her kid? "I knew he was married, and you don't have a dad."
Of course this woman is not innocent. What she's done is immoral too, and she has helped bring an innocent child into this situation (although as a pro-life woman, I obviously think it is better to keep the child, who is innocent). But none of this means we cannot criticise Dave Grohl's conduct. She might have chased him, for all we know, but he never should have put himself into that situation in the first place.

It could be a mid-life crisis. It could be the reaction to grief, as certain "sources" have claimed to the Daily Mail. (Until I hear from Dave Grohl, I am not taking any anonymous reports at face value.) It could be any host of things. But you're right: No excuses.
There's two possibilities here. He's either so arrogant that he thinks he can have his cake and eat it and essentially have two families and everyone will love and forgive him and move on. OR, he has admitted that he fucked up but is a decent enough guy to own it and accept there is a completely blameless child involved and he needs to do the right thing for her.
I'm not sure, I've always thought he was a good guy but maybe a bit too clean and there must be something going on.
It's a shame that he let the Hollywood lufe get to him. Hope he can repair his marriage without forgetting that another human being is also depending on him.
