- The following is a video of the differences between the WWE World Heavyweight Title and the WCW World Heavyweight Title. I love both of these belts, and I wanted to show what makes each unique from the other belt.

I believe the wwe version is curved main plate and believe wcw one is flat, am I correct?
On the shows, yes you are correct: they had the WCW flat and the WWE Heavyweight title was/is curved. I just HATE the way they look flat. It's amazing the difference a curve makes.
Great video. I have always wondered what the differences were besides the WWE logo. The Big Gold Belt is my favorite title.

Adamentality World not wrong pal lol bin a wrestling fan since 89 so I always loved the original WCW belt WWE all they did was rip off the company and steal some of their ideas no need to be a sheep dude 😂😂

The next-gen WCW replica is NICE. Holy cow, I just got it in today and other than the flat plates, everything else about it is much better than the next-gen WWE version.

If not for how easily cast replicas apparently crack if you try to curve them, I'd curve my WCW one and probably sell my WWE one. The next-gen WCW blows even the old Ultra Deluxe away.

I always thought the WCW title was much bigger.
I've seen some pictures of like the old versions of the wcw title, and it seems flatter. Idk maybe it's my eyes playing tricks on me, but it does look flat. (or did).

You’re very welcome! Thank you for the positive comment. I’ve heard it might be slightly larger, but I have not measured it myself. They’re very close in size, and it may look larger since it’s flat? If that is the reason, then I’d go curved all day!
@@AdamentalityWorld Thank you for responding. I also just saw another video that shows that the plates of the WCW version are thicker than the WWE version, noticeably thicker. Can you confirm that?
There are 4mm, 2mm, and 1mm thick plates. I’ve had the 2mm plates, but my current ones are 4mm and that allows the etching to be deeper and that much better. You just have to make sure you know which one you’re getting before you buy it. 🤟🏻🤟🏻

Does the curve really make a difference? Most reviews on the shops are bad because it doesn't have a curve, but all of the reviews on UA-cam have good reviews for the wcw
+Noah Hardy it's totally up to the person, but I personally love the belt with a curve. It makes it pop and it fits around your waist more than just a flat plate.
How can i get the more gold blending in colored name plates with a custom name engraved? I don't want the black color in bold type engraving.

Adamentality World back when Goldberg, Hogan and all those guys in wcw had that belt their name was hard to see on the belt at times. Because it was the same color as the rest of the belt so it blended really well in. Im wanting to get the belt from wwe.com but want that same type of font in my own name. I contacted them to see what they tell me. Hopefully that will clear it up.

+Preston Payne oh ok so you want the letters to be black? I think WWE only does Blank name plates now. They did do names back in the day and there's a wrestling super store online that does custom name plates. Idk if they're colored or not but you can ask them and if they don't you can fill in the letters with a sharpie of whatever color you like. I hope that helps! Let me know how it goes.

You forgot the left picture of the two wrestlers on the center plate are facing different ways on each belt.

+J Yang yep. those are the 2 mm versions.
Those not even really the real “big gold”. The real big gold belt was introduced by Ric Flair and it was with the maroon strap. The title was minorly redesigned a couple years after Ric Flair came back after they took the big gold belt back from him during his 1st WWF run. The redesign had it where it Monard modern day look like the design you have with the black strap. But the replica one you have is not the original big gold belt which is minorly different from the one you have.

I unfortunately don't know anywhere in LA you can buy them. I have my WCW Big Gold for sale, but there's no real place to buy them that I know of sorry bro.

Out of yours, I like the WCW belt. Out of the real belts, I like the duel plated WCW belt that Flair had

+Adamentality World they do. They've used beautiful leathers with some, with different backings, different button combinations. You get the full gold belts, that Steiner started using. Then there's the WWE branding on their version. I like them all really but if I could choose one to have, it would be the classic duel plated belt that Flair, Hogan, Sting, Goldberg, Steamboat had and on a black leather strap. This is the best World title and my favourite belt

Didn't Ric Flair go from the ""NWA World" title to the "Big Gold" Title at some point? I don't remember too many different versions of "Big Gold". A "belt psychopath", like myself, would notice *every little difference* between each belt.
Like, there was some big differences between the WCW title and the "World Heavyweight" title that WWE brought in around 2003-2004. You seem to be pretty knowledgeable about belts yourself, man...

I think rock was world heavyweight champion briefly after Survivor Series when Team WWF defeated The Alliance. Rock lost the belt to Chris Jericho though at the December Pay per view. The belt was merged with the WWF Championship until Bischoff brought it back but WWF had been referring to it as the World Heavyweight Championship since WCW was in storyline no more.

It IS nice! If you remember, Chris Jericho actually did hold that one when he became the first ever undisputed champion after beating The Rock and Stone Cold in the same night. :)

squatsnow no worries man. I would HIGHLY recommend you get one of the new 4 mm belts instead of the 2 mm if you can save up enough. I had a 2 mm WWE World Heavyweight belt but I bought the new 4 mm belt when it finally came out then sold the 2 mm eventually. It's like night and day. 4 mm > 2 mm

I Actually love both Versions of the Big Gold Belt WCW & WWE I might love the WCW WHC more simply because it's bigger the long strap and taller main plate just does it it for me.Not that the WWE Version is bad cause I do like that the jewels and the side plates are larger but I didn't like how the main plate and the strap were downsized guess McMahon Didn't like that the WHC was bigger then the WWE Undisputed Championship belt lol.I Wish I had the money I would get either version of this belt and I'D be happy or should it ever return I would love that and replaces that fruit roll up they call a World excuse me Universal Championship.#BringbackTheBigGoldBeltWWE

Adamentality World Yeah I Know it's probably never going to return.It Should though nobody wants a big fruit roll up belt that probably why the former Champions have never had rematches for it the don't want the ugly belt lol.And since Lesnar is hardly ever their The Big Gold should brought back for the other main eventers on Raw idk it's nice to dream anyways.

The WCW design to have the plates straight was pretty dumb. The belt was being destroyed in WCW. Side plates were coming off the main plate kept getting dented.. its like WCW went really cheap for their belt

It has some things about it that are better than the wwe version but I’d still pick the wwe one over it but it’s very very close haha
Adamentality World The original one that Ric Flair held was maroon and not black so there are some variational differences. WCW did change the belt design over the years not exactly change the belt design but I mean minor things have been changed over the years. From the time Jim Crockett was bought out by Ted Turner to the Time WWE but WCW in 2001.

Maybe 'fake' is the wrong term. They don't look like the real belts you see on TV. They are very bright and shiny, and you can't see the details. The real belts look more dull and aged. Probably have acid etching or something.
+DarthHater100 it's very possible. Sometimes the belts on tv are the really expensive ones and sometimes they're replicas too. I wish mine were the really expensive ones too
WWE shop sells garbage, you can't even see the details on the belts. They look like pressed trophy metal.
