My local pool hall does a handicapped chip tournament for skill level 6 and below. Skill level 6s get 2 chips, skill level 5s get 3 chips, skill level 4s get 4 chips, and skill level 3s and below get 5 chips. It’s also a race to 2 each match, lag for 1st break. If you have to play the 3rd rack you re-lag for break on the deciding rack. We also have a rule that the 9 has to be the final ball made. It’s a lot of fun.
I come to learn so... two shots, first rack. Would you consider, instead of stunning to the 5 ball, top left to the short rail and drifting into position? Second shot, same rack, you mentioned playing too soft but if you watch the cueball trajectory, you could have 4-railed into perfect position on the 8 ball (Shane plays it this way alot). What do you think?
I think that's a good call on the first shot. Regarding the second shot - I'm no SVB. I try to limit the cueball movement, if possible. Too many things can go wrong when I try to move the ball around too much
Love the chip tournaments. I need to stop watching your videos I’m up to a 6 now since I last commented. But seriously like always enjoy the free lessons watching you play.
I don't currently sell my original design. I will be selling them again but I need to have a graphic designer go over the logo to make it look better. Don't tell anyone but, there's a secret site where you can still buy the original - I think it still works anyway (shortrail.printify.me/products)
Similar to a "kill" game played in the Philippines where all the players get 3 "lives". Missing a shot meaning a loss of 1 life. Players pony up a fee with the last player standing getting the pot. A fun game.
Thanks for the shout out sucks!! Had fun that night, glad you guys came out!

Thanks, James!
That’s a cool format, first exposure to a chips tournament. How do they establish the handicap, explain exponentially 😊
LOL... In this one, they just go by your fargo rating
LOL! Motor boating pockets! 😂 Is that another way to say playing pocket pool?

As far as chip tournaments go.. I'd say if you're going to lose, it's best to lose early when the table wait times are longer.
That's true! Good point

How bout a short or vid about buying a cue, sucka?
Not a bad idea! Maybe when one of my friends is ready for a new cue, I can go with and walk them through the process.
