@Aron Zakai nice try
Hello
One of the first planes I built when getting into the hobby of scratch buiilding. It's truly a great trainer for building and learning to fly. Thanks for helping us out.
I built it and it flies amazing, thanks
Plz tell me where you get the materials and list of materials required for this plane only
@@salmankhan-ek2dj from the description
How much does it cost ??
@abdul bari ok thanks
Where do you get the receiver and levelators
You are actually a legend, this is one of the best DIY videos I've seen in general. Very thankful for providing diagrams and the parts list in the description!
This is as good as flight test i like the measurements highlight in the video thats great

Wow!!! This is a great build. Seems very simple and straight forward. Plane looks great. Love the landing gear.
This video rekindled a long lost fascination for flying model planes , at 68 I will begin again and who knows maybe some of my grand kids will come on board. Thankyou so much.
This is the only RC plane guide that is complete My RC plane could not have been possible without this thank you a lot for making this.🙏😃
Thanks for helping me make my first RC plane that works!
My first plane was a delta wing, didn't work because the wings were too small, then I tried your design but made it 1.3x bigger and tested it twice, it flew both times but I only flew it for 5 seconds the first time and 10 seconds the second time since I never flown an RC plane before.
Thanks again for this amazing video!!!
How much did itvtake
@@randomcat201 The transmitter and receiver were around $75, motor was $15, foam was $3, pack of 4 servos were $5. So a little over $100.
@@ammar_arain damn
@@ammar_arain yo, are all the parts in the description or are there extra parts? How many wheel stoppers did you need?
@@pescetv8371 All the parts seem to be in the description. I didn't use any wheel stoppers because I didn't have any available so I just cut out a piece of foam and stuck it to the end of the rod (a pretty bad way to actually do it). But 3 wheel stoppers should be enough for this design.
Very nice. Amazing how inexpensive it is in both material and workmanship, yet it flies flawlessly
it's quite expensive
Quiet expensive bruv. RC plane hobby is an expensive hobby
Yeah currently building it it’s like 70 hours 200$ in
But lots of fun
Hello how you doing?
Who the heck would want to downvote this?!! Incredible job building and flying this and thank you so much for sharing!
"Before I say anything, I want you to know? I Greatly appreciate you. Would you believe? This was exactly how I was one time ago. I always use to take my time and construct model airplanes from foam board and fly them when they are completed. We share the same interest. I love how you measured the center of gravity in relation to the battery's pitch for easy control and stabilization of the aircraft. Your project was a good flyer. It is good enough to market and sell at a profitable rate due to the electric easy start system. I would like to be friends with you, we share common goals. You are a great builder. It was simple, but? It was done properly; That was the achievement due to success." Good, Job! I appreciate you. 👍
This is amazing. You are a genius. I've been considering building an RC plane for some time and this has given me the inspiration to make a start.
Wow, super job showing how to do this and particularly providing a complete list of where to find everything!
I have a question how does he get the servo working without a receiver do you need a receiver for servos to work? Thanks in advance.
Oh nvm
@@Ephraim610 see the video he connected the servo to the receiver
Started flying again after 15 years away and was shocked that there aren't any affordable (glow) trainers available. I came across your video and thought "what do I have to lose?" I doubled the specs and put on a .28 glow engine and the thing flew great! I'm now building a 250% version (80" wingspan) for .40-.60 size glow. Thank you, much easier on my old heart crashing a $10 plane than a $300 one...
I'm new to this so can someone explain what glow is...

Wow! Great trainer/ intermediate aircraft and build vid! FPV is just icing on the cake
So excited to try this myself :) thanks for sharing your wisdom and craft
This is awesome and *thank you* from Sydney. My son and I are about to build a 150% model of this and have all the components ready. We'll be attempting to build it from corflute (or coroplast as it's called elsewhere). Slightly heavier material but we'll give it a crack anyway. Cheers and thanks - Dave and young Will
Have you started it yet? If yes what's the current situation? Greetings from Turkey.
@@fatihbural7845 Hi Fatih - thank you for your interest! Yes, we did make it but our maiden flight was not so successful due to high winds. Since then we haven't yet flown it properly but will try to do so when we get a chance. My experience tells me that it should fly pretty well (on a calm day). Here is a video my son and I made of the build: ua-cam.com/video/_hjK549euos/v-deo.html
Cheers from Sydney, Dave :-)
What about the receiver? What did you use?
@@deldridg well congrats for making and having this experience! I have checked the link and also subscribed to the channel. Great work!
Congrats. I think your design was %150 bigger than @kendinyap. I just wonder that what did you use motor, propeller, esc and battery combination. Also, can you say that bigger is better for this plane for training stage.
Thanks and hello from Turkey.
Last one, could you please share detailed dimensions of your design and plans if it is possible. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for sharing your skills and expertise, you make it look easy! I'm in the process of trying this build and struggling a bit with making the wing. I couldn't readily source the Kraft type foam board. How important is the type foam board? I sourced some foam board, Elmer's brand 20 X 30 inches from our local Wal-Mart, $1.77ea. It seems to be of fair quality but doesn't seem to want to make the sharp bend around the spar as easily as shown in the video. In the video it looks like your just scoring through the paper on the 1cm spaced lines, is this correct? Maybe it just takes more practice to get the hang of it. Mine seems to break open as I'm flexing it around the nose of the spars, probably my cuts are to deep.
Kraft foam board is different from insulation foams. The outer surfaces is covered with paper (kraft type paper). In this way, it is more robust. And it is more suitable for bending operations. Insulation foams do not allow large angle bends. In this case, you can cut the lower and upper surfaces of the wing as two separate pieces. And then you can paste it to create the wing form.
@@Kendin-Yap Please make a video on DELTA WING as well, I made it but it didn't flew, I damaged one of my Wooden Props as well, So plzz make a video!

Very gracefully done airplane buddy!
Hahaha I think for skillful beginners....like me I am new to flying rc planes actually I do have a 2 channel beginner plane and with 3 or 4 times I have flown my plane....and saw this video....I am interested in building my own plane and this is a very good tutorial and very informative approach for creating a diy plane....I want to try creating a 3 channel not much advance like the owner of the video. Qual material ele usou? Tipo, papelão? Isopor?
@cursor

Are there actual A4 plans to download for the airframe itself or do I just use your posted measurements since they're just straight lines? Forgive me, I haven't built a diy foamboard plane yet. Further, I want to try this this with DTF, Depron or Thermocol. See any issues concerning those materials?
I love your videos! Very well produced & to the point! Thanks!
There is no proportional plans. It's not necessary either. Dimensions can be easily applied and cut. Insulating foam can also be used. But it is very flexible. It is not rigid like Foambvoard. So extra support will be needed.
@@Kendin-Yap The Depron will be plenty strong for this particular model despite not having the paper. I've got some 3-6mm board. I might go with a smaller motor, too.

Supper engineering
After building (and crashing), here's my beginner feedback: The wheels aren't worth the effort. If you do include them, make sure your wire is strong. You should also include some velcro or something to hold the battery in place. Every time after launching or landing my CG would be in a different place because the battery slides.
Hey im planning to buy a 1000kv motor. What is the best battery for it and prop size? Also how long will I be able to fly with that battery?
@@logiknotlogic6586 I used the recommended parts from the video. Flight time depends on a lot of things, including how "hard" you are flying. Just use a low voltage beeper so you know when to land.
@@matthewforan6397 Ok but can you tell what prop size you used as Im extremely confused on what size to use?
@@matthewforan6397 Will a 10x4.5 prop work well with a 1000kv motor? And using a 4S battery at 2500mah will give a lot more flight time than 3S with 2500mah?
