I’ve just come back from Yorkshire and had a ride on the NYMR from Pickering to Whitby, then a ride on the Wensleydale Railway from Leyburn to Leeming Bar: grand.
Thanks for sharing your fine "art" of model railroading Lewis. Always a joy and inspiration ! Greetings & all the best, Filip
The austerity was just as I remember them, apart from their cranky motions. I remember seeing Black five Glasgow Yeomanry many times too. Wonderful, truly wonderful.❤️
Noted model railroader Frank Ellison built the Delta Lines in New Orleans, Lousiana, an American O scale model railway.
He promulgated the idea that the model railway represented the theater stage, scenery the props, and trains the actors!
I am struck by how well you represent that concept in these vids. Your actors come onstage, say their lines, act their parts, and then proceed offstage! The locomotives, of course, are the stars, and have the most prominent parts!
Take a bow, writer, producer and director Lewis!
The weathering on that Austerity is genuinely outstanding. Really impressive. 👍
Hi Lewis nice to see the work horses doing there stuff, very nice to see a bit of shunting. That was i nice mixed bag the W.D. was pulling great video Lewis thank you.
Lewis, Once more a superb video and once more a sheer show of beauty. Well done!!! Fabulous to watch and to enjoy. Thank you for the privilege.
Another winner Lewis ,just to watch a goods in action then a passenger working ,is as it used to be to be . Your videos are really time less ,really like your eye level shots .Keep up the excellent work .😊
Hi Lewis, great video, obviously as usual. I do enjoy all the scenery on both layouts, and the way you sync the sounds.
Another great video Lewis!!! Many thanks again for sharing! Cheerrs Onno.
Lewis.....WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!! What a stunning video, the sound was so realistic. Congrats. Cheers Greg
Great to see a new video, epic and beautiful as always! Hope you've been well!!
good vid as always on channel nice running of trains thanks lee
More i see this layout mate i cant help admire how the canal scene fits compared to the original road. A brilliant idea to change that up. Hope all well Lewis. Great recording and sync skills again.
Awesome presentation superb weathering and realistic running. Top quality all round.
As always love your videos! Thats a real nice set of non-gang way coaches. Never really liked the Black 5 but becoming quite a custom to them now must say and looks splendid on your layout :) Tom
@@MouldyRaspberry I'm actually starting to design (hoping to build this winter) a portable layout of a country station with small loco depo and siding, obv different but a similar feel to what your layout has inspired me to, any advice on designing something like that?
I've got a WD 2-8-0 too. OOBill did a 4-parter showing how he rebuilt it for me.
Did I see your layout in an Accurascale video? Well-deserved recognition if I did.
The shot from in front of the canal boat was my favourite location this time.
Thanks very much! Yes I did take some photos for them of their 37 and some mineral wagons I picked recently
Like the heavily weathered freight engine at the start - that's how they were mostly. My only question would be why no figures seated inside the coaches? You know, it can make a lot of difference. 👍
Ah that’s been on the todo list for a while - must get round to that.
You should try adding rain to a video in post. That might look pretty cool
Lewis, it would appear that five coaches is an ideal passenger train length for your layouts. Do you have standard train lengths for both freight and passenger?
If I remember correctly he built it to take 7 coaches... Pretty impressive 👍
On the Misselthwaite layout the max in the run around loop is 7 coaches+loco, but i tend to stick with 4-6 coaches. On the main layout I sometimes run 10-12 coach trains just because it’s a big loop!
How is the old layout? Is it still going strong? Will you move it at some point to your house or leave it at your folks?
Yep it’s still going strong - it’s way too big to fit in my house so it’s staying put for now 😬
@@MouldyRaspberry Heart breaking to pull it apart. I'm going in the attic and I will have to take down the layout in the spare bedroom. I just need everything on it.
Sheer magic to watch such realism just adds to the enjoyment, no one does it better Lewis, keep on with as many Videos you want to make, I'll be watching, Best Wishes, Colin.
Thank you Colin!
