Elli and Holly Killin' it !!! The whole band was exceptional !! You guys have got me really missing Terrapin right now. We had almost 10 amazing years and it seems selfish to ask for more, but More Please ! So many fun shows in the Grate Room and Bar, so many awesome friends. So many shows, so many shows.....ease my soul
Thanks for remembering the incomparable Pigpen. It was 1971 when I first heard Live Dead, having no preconceived notion of what I was about to hear after a friend handed me a cup of an Owsley spiked elixir. By the time Dark Star, St Stephen, and The Eleven had started working their magic, Turn on your Lovelight kicked in and, lord have mercy, I stood up, ran out of the house, screaming at the top of my lungs. It changed everything for me, I never listened to music the same way again. Thank you Pig, and thanks to Phil & Friends for sharing this great stuff. ❤
Processing, reflection, the humaness, the Music. Thank you all for letting us in on these intimate, wholesome jams. You're transpatently doing work that seems much bigger than even the music though. For me, it is infectiously very much relatable and so much appreciated. Just fabulous!! Thank you
This was all so tasty! Especially love the Two Souls, sung perfectly, and the Caution. Love Luther’s energy! Fun to watch. The sound is perfect. Keep ‘em coming! ❤⚡️
Well, it’s about Grateful freakin’ time, ladies and Gents, THANK YOU. Respectful playing, and not over each other. FINALLY, letting Elliot sing. WOW. musicianship the right way. Compliments to the Audio crew for a good mix. Very balanced. Now that things are on track, what about that Cat? It’s nice to finally hear Phil talk about adding some ambient lighting.
Listening to this reminded me of when I was at a post-show party with Phil in 1978. He was sitting in a corner telling stories, and he’s still good at it!
Interesting jam , I like how everybody plays their part together , like telling a story to each other all at the same time, like a joyous moment all together
I dreamed Phill was performing in my local church this afternoon, and then I woke up, but luckily I felt back into sleep, and Phill was there again, but I woke up again before asking his signature.
Two souls 🙏 glad I waited till I could really listen. Thanks again, Phil, for your generosity to the community. Sending so much ❤️ no words can describe my gratitude. PS yall have access to lighting experts and your talking about LEDs 😢😅
Interesting story about Jerry almost falling off the train and Bobby saving him! I forgot about that one. I would love to hear Phil talk about the making of Anthem of the Sun. To me that album is so defining of the Dead. The album was made from so many pieces of different recorded live and studio tracks with tapes being spliced together. And there was Tom Constanten TC playing a "prepared piano" Would love to hear Phil talk about that. ❤❤❤
Does anyone know, did Phil all of a sudden just get taken down and out? Was he on hospice? This was three months ago? He doesn’t look too bad, I guess he just got sick enough to where he needed to get horizontal and relax. Then I guess that was that. I don’t ask to be nosey, Phil was one of my best friends that I never had the chance to meet. But he’s been there for me through the music and the bass. An instrument that I used to play and Phil was a tremendous inspiration to me in playing the bass. I already miss him. This one hurts Rest easy Phil, I hope you are in a better place now.
Two Souls...honestly, the most beautiful version I've ever heard. It's too bad Janis Joplin didn't get to record the song because it would've been perfect for her and The Full Tilt Boogie Band.

this Luther on guitar is freaking great
Thank you, Phil and friends! I remember my first encounter with Phil and Jerry, in Ft. Worth of all places, at TCU in 1971. I'm still in awe!!!

Operator!
I got to have a private line!❤
It ain't no business of mine...
Roll Phil Roll
Assuming the theme is picked for sunday daydream vol4 is picked out already but if theres any room for pigpen tracks it's more than welcome!!!
Please Phil, have one last tour with Bob in Europe, we had barely a chance to see the Dead live, while you have a cult here.

Leave it on!!!!!!!
Can we get Rob Barraco in one of these?
🙌🎶💖🎶🫶
LET PHIL SING
antisphere
Agreed. Not square, but septagonal.❤🎉😊
Why is there no Dead art or anything in this place..seems odd..
The art is in your ear holes, friend.
There is art everywhere

Well, I’ve always wanted to see this. Watching it though, I had to,wonder why. The storytelling was great; the music.. well, nicely put, not so much.
Not sure about the people who surround Phil.
