Sedbergh Weir Fish Pass River Rawthey

  • This is the first weir on the River Rawthey which is a tributary of the River Lune. The weir is about 3ft high and it has a pool and weir type fish pass in the middle.
    The fish pass has a high final step up and the fish will struggle to get past. It is only suitable for the stronger swimming species like trout or grayling. The weaker swimmers won't be able to get past. It would be best if the weir was demolished or if it was washed away in a flood.
