Ok, so I love Goliath. But you think he would have realized something was amiss when Elisa suddenly developed SUPER HUMAN STRENGTH and threw him. Like... threw him far -______- that could have served as a slight hint.
The distance thrown is possible. Goliath is about 200-300lbs. Elisa has martial arts training, and that is an actual technique used to throw people bigger and heavier than yourself.
this was a great series and a great episode whats more is this is one of the series where Disney started to kinda "push the line" of stuff a kid should see in a cartoon even if it was proteus he kinda "sexified" Elisa a lot which is something you wouldn't of seen in earlier years which really i loved ....I really wish they had kept this series going this would even be a great series in today's society ....although I've heard in the next couple of years we may see a Gargoyles movie which i think would be badass
The change in animation style in this episode was really jarring. The episode itself was pretty good IMO but the animation change came completely out of nowhere and was isolated to this episode alone. Then again, this was part of the Goliath Chronicles (which I personally liked overall) and a lot of weird things were happening then.
There were a few episodes with bizarre animation. Like the episode when Fang tried to take over the Mutates and Brooklyn had to step up as leader. Why couldn't they get one animation studio to handle the entire show's run?
I did some research on the animation change apparently Disney canceled the series after the end of season two but ABC picked it right up with a whole new set of animators that's why it was renamed gargoyles the goliath chronicles and why the animation looks so different--different channel different company different staff

They only did storyboarding and sometimes keyframing here in the states, then they sent it over to dozens of different production houses in Taiwan, the Phillipines, Japan, and South Korea where big rooms full of low-paid animators would be fully of them busy drawing and inking on animation cels. Gargoyles had 12 different Production Houses working on it, so even within one season each episode might have had a different production house, which led to wild variance in quality and style.
Elisa was given a LOT of 'fan service' this episode. Saw the ep for the 1st time a few weeks ago and noticed they really focussed a lot on her butt. And is it just me, or does she look like Jasmine in this ep?

The animation doesn't bother me so much as the unnaturally fluid movements. Elisa is a strong woman and in this style they make her move sometimes like shes a pole dancer on ecstasy. Lol
So ... no one’s going to talk about how Proteus just stood there after Goliath yelled at Taurus to fire? Even if he had no time to shape-shift again he still could’ve ducked behind Elisa 😒😒😒
@WaterPhoenix1516 I have to agree with you. 3rd season had major flaws in the storyline, characters were poorly developped, but there were enjoyable moments in some episodes. I'm guessing you know that the whole first and second seasons were produced by its creator, Greg Weisman, and then some other jockey took over the third season. Weisman said the 3rd season is non-canon, so might as well watch them and remember that it's just sort of gimmick.
Just a guess but could it be that James Baxter did a lot of the animations in this episode? I remember that in this episode many scenes were more fluid than the other ones and later I found out that James Baxter is an animator who is known for this style.

And why was Proteus even struggling against her to begin with, he was strong enough to through Goliath across the the room. Speaking of Goliath how is it he can't just rip those ropes off and free himself, he can rip steal with his claws.
