The 2 things i wanted RVB to happen was to be part of the main Halo universe,with game characters appearences,like Chief.And the other was a full animated Movie.
they technically are a part of the halo universe. rvb season 1 take place after the chief take out the whole covenant armada
hunky beaver I know,they Griff and Simmons talk about him in the first episode,and there are some Easter Eggs about then in the Halo games.But i wanted really a crossover,imagine now they get between Cortana/Wardens vs Humans.
Burnie has talked about it before where he _doesn't_ want any crossover with the main story of Halo and RvB. He wants the series to be a story that both Halo and non-Halo fans can enjoy

+Gary Smith It'll be about lots of characters. Might be the Reds and Blues, might be Tucker Jr, might be Felix and Locus... Possibilities are endless. With each segment of the season animated in different ways, it'll allow for RvB to really explore different ways to convey stories, which is why, I'm guessing, Miles and the team are so excited for it.

You should have Caboose as a Forrest Gump style character who does everything right despite doing nothing right.

+Javi Sanchez Cecil was a character who appeared in the background atop Red base in the Blood Gulch Chronicles, most likely a camera that was caught in a shot. The background story created largely by fans was that he was Caboose's evil younger brother. He was later included in a Season 5 blooper, where he killed Caboose.
