I am amazed how primatively an instrument bell starts out. I have several pro saxophones which are works of art, even cheap ones are. I used to wonder how they were made. I have done a little metal spinning which produces parts that are hard to believe. I find your zany videos interesting, entertaining and informative. I know behind all the comedy a skilled master is at work. I can't' imagine how long it would take me to learn how to build a trumpet or french horn. probably longer than learning to play it. I don't aspire to do so but I always wanted to build a sax with titanium keys. Keep them coming.
I think I would create a press tool and die to stamp half of that horn shape right from the flat sheet. Either braze two halves together. Or slide a mandrel in to the die to hold the half formed blank in place then come down with another too to close it around the mandrel. Could be created in a split die block in a cnc mill. But the only musical instrument I can play is a hair comb wrapped in wax paper.

Miles, I never blamed my mother for anything after I was 16.....except for her Christmas presents.
Haha! Growing up I stole all her tools, now she steals mine. I suppose it’s fair
