Yeah bro, there's even difference in the footworks of these gharanas (schools). As in the speed of foot strikes, what part of the foot is to be prominently tapped is also different in different schools, that's why there's difference in the sound that comes out of each style's footwork. There are four major styles, Benaras, Lucknow, Jaipur and Raigarh. Kathak is the dance expression of ancient art of storytelling and the Bhakti (Devotion) towards Lord Krishna. Then there are other forms which are equally engaging, like Kuchipudi, Odissi, Manipuri, Bharatnatyam, Perini Natyam, Vilasini Natyam, Mohiniyattam and several others. A lot of them in fact. Indian temple dances are a world in themselves. They have a lot of musical, intellectual and philosophical delight to offer to the world.❤🕉
@@virferind7946 yes bro. I am a Kathak dancer myself, learning under Lucknow gharana. I have seen the other gharana dances as well but this school is alot different. Thats why was curious why the hasthaks are different.
