A bunch of pop artists performed at the CMA Awards. Ariana Grande performed no one says anything. P!nk no says anything. Justin Timberlake no says anything. Wait also RIHANNA performed at the CMA AWARDS NO ONE SAID ANYTHING.. but BEYONCE is where everyone draws the line. What's the issue?!

That being said, to make this video is like watching MAGA supporters doing a deep dive as to why Trump means well. Alan is no Trump but if you need to say that many words to prove a point then you already lost the truth.

That's why him and George strait made that song years ago. He was made about the way country music is being destroyed. Not by a singer or race .

The love of country? Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson were ALL rejected by country, so stop the idiocy. Country was the Black experience the poor experience and radio decided it would present as white and you want to keep it that way. All this time I was mad at Alan Jackson for nothing! I am from Georgia but I am black and love beyonce. I grew up listening to Alan Jackson in my house and he was without a doubt one of my favorite singers and musicians growing up. I love Beyonce also and I was so happy when she performed at the CMAs that it broke my heart to hear later that people had a problem. I was confused because when I watched the performance it seemed like everyone had a good time. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the performance but I did read the story and I got confused. Maybe it wasn't smart to assumed but like he said it was billboard. So I just thought it was real. For years I have been mad at Alan Jackson for this. I actually stopped listening to his music and everything because I thought he was so disrespectful. I can't believe they just published stuff like this without getting verification
Correction: Beyonce just said she DID feel unwelcomed at the awards. I did not realize there was a whole boycott of her playing and then the CMA's REFUSED to post her performance on their site even though it was and still remains their highest-rated performance in history. If Alan wanted to make it clear he did not walk out on her he would say so. I am feeling defeated by this news. Still love some country but man this is a downer.

Batman knows there's more to the story that matters. Joking aside, after watching the video, i say the legend is false in hindsight with what Alan was doing after the CMAs. times are changing so we have to adapt to the present and to the future in terms of music and not caring for AI!
Country music hardly even exists these days, and most of the singers there don't know George Jones or Merle...

They told George Jones to sing half of "Choices", while younger acts sang the full versions of their hits. George refused to attend the show, and stayed home instead. You can totally see at the end of Alan's performance that he was p***ed off!!! Don't mess with The Possum!!

I don't think he did. If he did, he would have said something. He's literally never commented on it. I think people just want a reason to hate on Beyoncé. I'm pretty indifferent to Beyoncé's music, but she's hardly the first music artist to dabble in different genres, so I don't have a problem with her making a country album. It's her music and her voice. She can do whatever the hell she wants.
I believe he made a statement. Everybody stay in their own lane. This was country music awards n not any other music awards. Think about it. People are definitely changing country music. Listen to music from early 2000’s n then now. However she has now made a song about country music that’s a hit! Now she can legitimately sing her song.

That's my take on it..... as much of a legend as Jackson is... and as historic an event as that was... with a star a big as Beyonce... and the fact the media flocks to drama like flies to a light.... there'd be NO WAY every blog site... news channel... journalist... or anybody with a heartbeat wouldn't have heard about it

I think the narrator has a kind heart that makes him see everything in a positive light, but the country music industry is still very problematic. for example, the radio never actually play the new beyonce song despite claiming they would. it still can't crack the top 40 on radio chart.

Look I'm not an accomplished poet quite the yet some names of my poems are named names like heaven, the last breath, by the name of Corey are just a few of my of my collection. I know for a fact my poetry with all the raw emotion and feelings of my life experiences basically it's 60 poems all written In a two week period after a NDE and NDE stands for near death experience was so liberating that somehow I completed this masterpiece writing to roughly 5 poems a day at times and writing with urgency and purpose not ego like the world expects us to pride ourselves on ego which I try not to boste nor do I take any credit for. Trust me when I tell you I am not capable of writing 60 poems creating a book of poems basically completing a whole book of my life's darkest moments trials and tribulations. What I want to do after I publish my works I would love to sit down with a song writer so we can compose some poetry into some beautiful country songs. The things I write about are all life experiences with nothing but pure raw emotion my poetry start out in dark places in my life and how reading poetry has compelled me to want to share my work with the world. I know what I have been through in life and I know a lot of other people have been through the same things I have been through I would say at least 30% of the people in the world have been through the same things I have been through I write about addiction,mental health, sud which is also known as substance use disorder. I write about my experiences in my life I've had a lot of dark I've been through a lot of dark times in my life and I know my writings will turn into some amazing songs that may sting a person at first yet at the end of each one of my pieces of end with hope light and being thankful to God for allowing me to be here because of what I've went through and what have put myself through it nothing short of hell and so if anyone would like to use my poems and turn them into some pretty compelling songs let's talk because I don't need money I don't want any money nor am I driven by money. God has provided for me in ways that just amaze me so I'm financially free of not having to worry about where I'm going to get money for any of my bills I'm not bosting I'm just saying money doesn't drive me my passions do so if there are any song writers out there that would appreciate some amazing poetry unpublished at the moment and my goal is to let the world feel my pain in what I write. Either through publication of a book or music either way the world needs to hear my pain my trauma and what I'm going through or what I went through to not let it define who I am as a person. Yes I have mental health issues and addiction issues and I currently live with trauma how I heal is I write about what I went through because I want others to also read what I've been through because I personally know that a lot of people in the world suffer from the same things I with. And I say I currently live with the PTSD and the CPTSD along with some other ailments like schizoaffective disorder. Currently I'm in therapy because I realize I'm the problem and I refuse to live how I was living. Please comment I'm looking for feedback

Maybe Alan Jackson saw something we didn't with Beyonce and wants have nothing to do with her.
Regardless, I watched the show and felt her performance was a waste of my time. She needs to stay in whatever her usual genre is and leave country music to true traditional country singers. That being said there are a whole lot of so called country acts that aren’t country either.
CMA AWARDS does this every year. They bring pop artists to perform. Where was the uproar when Ariana grande, Justin Timberlake, Pink performed 🤔 Also Beyonce gave them the highest ratings ever for the CMA AWARDS so u would think a thank you would be nice
